HomeMy WebLinkAboutINITIATED ORDINANCE - 04/03/1954 - COUNCIL-INITIATED ORDINANCE CONCERNING THE DISCONTINUANCE OF SERVICE AND THE DISMANTLING AND SALE OFBE IT ORDAINED BY THE QUALIFIED VOTERS OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the said City of Fort Collins, be and it is hereby
authorized and directed within thirty (30) days after the passage and adoption of this ordinance,
to cease operation of the municipal railway.
Section 2. That the said City Council of the City of Fort Collins is hereby authorized and
empowered to dismantle all ro such part of said municipal street railway property as may be
deemed advisable, and to sell and dispose of so much thereof as may be by said City Council
deemed advisable, or the City Council may sell or lease, for the purpose of operation, all thereof,
as is provided in the Charter of the City of Fort Collins.
Section 3. That the net proceeds derived from the sale of the property of the municipal
railway, shall be used for the payment of indebtedness due the City of Fort Collins by the
municipal railway.
