AMENDING CHAPTER 10 OF THE,CODE OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
TO UPDATE FLOODPLAIN USE PERMIT FEE AMOUNTS
W REAS, the City Council is empowered and directed by Article XII, S ction 6, of the
Charter of th City of Fort Collins, Colorado, to fix, establish, maintain an provide for the
collection of suc rates, fees or charges for utility services furnished by the ty as will produce
revenues sufficient pay the costs, expenses and other obligations of the tormwater utility, as
set forth therein; and
WHEREAS, City s ff recommends that existing floodplain se permit fees be adjusted
as they have not increased i cc originally adopted, to collect propriately for the costs of
providing requested floodplain s ices; and
WHEREAS, the City Marta r and staff have rec mended to the City Council the
following adjustments to the floodplain se permit to be of ective January 1, 2014; and
WHEREAS, based on the foregoing, ' is the sire of the City Council to amend Chapter
10 of the City Code to revise the fee for obtain g a oodplain use permit.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDA E BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FORT COLLINS as follows:
Section 1. That subsection (j of Section 10-2 of the Code of the City of Fort Collins
is hereby amended to read as follows:
Sec. 10-27. Floodplain us permit.
0) An applicant for floodplain use permit shall pay fifty dollars ($50.). If the Utilities
Executive Directo pursuant to this Article, requires the applicant to furnish a floodplain
modeling analy is, the applicant shall pay 'an additional fee of f%Of�
hundred dollars
($500.).
Section 2. That subsection (c) of Section 10-28 of the Code City of Fort
Collins is hereb amended to read as follows:
Sec. 0-28. Appeals/variance procedure.
(c) Persons desiring to request a variance shall at the time of application for said var' nce
submit a variance application together with a floodplain use permit application, and s all
at the time of application pay the floodplain use permit fee of fifty dollars ($50.) and a
variance processing fee in the amount of three hundred dollars ($300.). Written notice of

hearing by mailing the notice to the applicant's address/November,
