TO PHOHI'�IT CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF SEVENTEEN YEARS RE,fAINING UPON THE STREEITS AND OTHER PUBLIC PLACES WITHIN THF. CITY LIAITS AFTER CERTAIN HOURS AT NIGHT. . ------000--- -- Be it Ordained by the City Council of the City of Fort Collins : Section I. It shall be unlawful for any person or persons under the age of seventeen years to frequent, loiter, loaf, play, or re;na.in upon any street, alley or public grounds, any unoccupied or vacant lot or lots, block or blocks, in, about or upon any stairway, hallway or area of any business or public building or in any vacant or unoccupied building or �.uildings, within the corporate limits of the city of Fort Collins, between the hours of nine o'clock p. nd six o'clock a. m. , from adR fefttr he I5th day of October. and between A the hours of eight o' clock p. m. and six o' clock a. m. from ., the I5th day of October to and including the I5th day of April of each and every year. See . 2. That it shall be the duty of the city marshal of the city of Fort Collins , Colorado, to cause the fire bell at the city hall to be rung (ten tans) at the hour of eight o'clock and fifty minutes p. in. each and every day between and includingthe said I5th day of April and the said I5th day of October l P l following, and at the hour of seven o' clock and fifty minutes p. ;n. of each and every day between and including the I5th day of October and the said i5th day of April following, of each and every year, Y. t • 2 � • and such ringing of said bell shall be conclusive proof of the time in any and all proceedings for the violation of this ordinance. See . 3. The city marshal, the city night watch;nan, and any and all deputg,- city marshals and policemen of the city of Fort Collins , while on duty, shall, and it is hereby made the duty of each of s:-id officers to arrest without warrant any person wilfully violating the provisions of section I of this ordinance. See . 4. That any person or persons violating the pro- visions of section I of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and on conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not less than one dollar nor more than ten dollars, together with costs of prosecution, and upon failure to pay such fine and costs may be committed to city jail for a period not to exceed ban days, unless such fine and costs are sooner paid. Sec . 5. It shall be unlawful for any parent or parents, guardian or guardians , or any person or persons having the care or custody of children under the age of seventeen years , to knowinti permit z.,ir rsn_ or persons of whom they have the care, custody or control to loaf, loite , p ay or rear .an upon the streets or any of the places named in section I of this ordinance betvreen the hours named in section I of this ordinance. Sec. 6. That any person or persons violating any of the provisions of section 5 of this ordinance shall , upon conviction r.N. thereof, be fined la sum not less than one dollar nor more than twenty-five dollars, with costs, and such person or persons so fined 3 ( A* shall stand committed to the city jail until such fine and costs are paid. Sec . 7. The mayor of the city of Fort Collins , Colorado, may, in his discretion, by proclamation, suspend tl.e operation of the provisions of this ordinance for a period not to exceed twenty- four (24) hours . 1
