BEING AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 22 OF
ORDINANCE NO 6 , 1916, BEING AN ORDINANCE CREATING AN
ELECTRICAL INSPECTION DEPARTMENT FOR THE GENERAL IN-
SPECTION AND REGULATION OF ELE CT9ICAL INSTALLATION AND
EQLIPMENT WITHIN THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS, AND PROVID-
ING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THIREOF
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
Section 1 Ihat Section 22 of Ordinance No
6 1916 being an ordinance creating an electrical inspec-
tion department for the general inspection and regulation
of electrical installation and equipment within the City of
Fort Collins, and providing penalties for the violation
thereof be amended so as to read as follows
"Section 22 All electrical construction.,
all material and all appliances used in connection with
electrical work and the operation and arrangement of all
electrical apparatus, shall be in conformity with the rules
and regulations published in what is known as the National
Electrical Code of 1918, which rules and regulations are
hereby approved and adopted as a part of this ordinance for
the regulation of all electrical installation and equipment
within the City of Fort Collins "
Section 2 In the opinion of the City
Council an emergency exists for the preservation of the
public health, peace and safety, and this ordinance shall
take effect upon its passage and publication under and by
virtue of the authority contained in Sections 6 and 7 of
Article IV of the City Charter

by the unanimous vote of all the members of the City

going ordinance consisting of t w o (2) sections was duly
proposed and read at length at a meeting of the City Council
held on the /5 day of November A D 1919 and was duly
adopted and ordered published in The Fort Collins Courier
a daily newspaper, by the unanimous vote of all the members
of the Council as an emergency ordinance in accordance with
the provisions of Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City
Charter, and thereafter and on towit the /8 day of
November, A D 1919 said Ordinance No /S was duly
published in Tne Fort Collins Courier, a daily newspaper
published in the City of Fort Collins, Colorado
