" BE IT ORDAINE➢ BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS; WLue wu: Section 1. ;That Section 1 of Ordinance No. ll-1904, entitled "Relating to Nuisances, " passed and adopted by the City Council of said City on the 16th day of January, A.D. 19051 be and the same is hereby ameti.tea so as to read as follows. Section 1. No public laundry, candle factory, soap factory, bone factory, rendering establishment , packing house, slaughter house, tannery, brewery, distillery, foundry, blacksmith shop, saw mill, planing mill, lumber yard, wood yard, livery stable, sale stable, stable for boarding horses, corral, or place for the storage of hay, shall be erected, established or carried on, nor shall any steam, / - oline or electric engine, or any steam boiler used to generate power for the purpose of running any engine, be placed and used in any building, upon any lot or lots or other parcel of land within the cor- porate limits of the City of Fort Collins, (unless the same shall be in operation at the date of the passage of this ordinance) without a permit from the City Council directing tte location thereof. No per- mit directing where any suet, establishment or vocation may be main- tained or carried on shall be granted by the City Council unless the applicant for such permit shall show to the satisfaction of the City Council that lie has given notice of his intention to apply for such permit by publication in at least two issues of a weekly newspaper published and having a general circulation in said City immediately prior to the date upon which such application is made. Suct, applicant shall also post and keep posted continuously a notice of such applica- tion in a conspicuous place upon the premises for which he intends to apply for such permit , for at least one week prior to the date upon which he intends to make such application. Said notices shall state the name of the applicant , the purpose for which tree premises are to be used, the kind of engine and size of boiler, if any, to be used on such premises, and the time when he intends to apply to the City Coun- cil for such permit. The notice to be posted upon the preiises as aforesaid shall be plainly and legibly printed or written la ink upon a sheet of paper not less than eight and one Half' incites in widtii and thirteen inches in leneth.
