ORDINANCE NO. 166 , 1988
OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
ANNEXING PROPERTY KNOWN AS THE
ORCHARD ANNEXATION
TO THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS, COLORADO
WHEREAS, Resolution 88-191 , finding substantial compliance and
initiating annexation proceedings, has heretofore been adopted by the
Council of the City of Fort Collins; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins has found and
determined and does hereby find and determine that it is in the best
interests of the City of Fort Collins to annex said area to the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS as follows:
Section 1. That the following described property, to wit:
A tract of land located in the Southwest Quarter of Section 2,
Township 6 North, Range 69 West of the 6th Principal Meridian,
Larimer County, Colorado, being more particularly described as
follows:
Considering the South line of the Southwest Quarter of said
Section 2 as bearing North 88°26'52" East and with all bearings
contained herein relative thereto:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of said Southwest Quarter of
Section 2, thence along said South line of the Southwest Quarter
North 88°26'52" East 1310.22 feet to the West line of the East
One-half of said Southwest Quarter (said West line also being the
East line of Voc Tech/Smith Annexation to the City of Fort
Collins, Colorado) ; thence along said West line North 00007'36"
East 1894.28 feet to a point on the North line of Applewood
Estates, Larimer County, -Colorado; said point being the True
Point of Beginning; thence along the North line of said Applewood
Estates North 88°38'22" East 352.56 feet to the West line of that
tract of land described in Book 1631 , Page 461 records of said
county; thence along said West line North 00018'32" East 746.51
feet to a point on the North line of the East One-half of said
Southwest Quarter (said point also being on the Southerly line of
Voc Tech/Smith Annexation to the City of Fort Collins, Colorado) ;
thence along said North line South 89°28'53" West 354.85 feet to
the West line of the East One-half of said Southwest Quarter
(said West line also being the East line of Voc Tech/Smith
Annexation to the City of Fort Collins, Colorado) ; thence along
said West line South 00007'36" West 751 .66 feet to the True Point
of Beginning. Said tract contains 6.08 acres, more or less, and
is subject to all easements and rights-of-way of record. -
be, and hereby is, annexed to the City of Fort Collins and made a part of
said City, to be known as the Orchard Annexation.

Section 2. That, in annexing said property to the City of Fort
Collins, the City of Fort Collins does not assume any obligation respecting
the construction of water mains, sewer lines, gas mains, electric service
lines, streets or any other services or utilities in connection with the
property hereby annexed except as may be provided by the ordinances of the
City of Fort Collins.
Section 3. That the City of Fort Collins hereby consents, pursuant to
Section 37-45-136(3.6) , C.R.S. , to the inclusion of said property into the
Municipal Subdistrict, Northern Colorado Water Conservancy District.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered
published this 6th day of December, A.D. 1988, and to be presented for
final passage on the 17th day of January, A.D. 989.
