BEING AN EIV1ERGENCY ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF FIVE
PER CENT REGISTERED WARRANTS IN THE AMOUNT OF FIVE HUNDRED
DOLLARS FOR MFiTidICIPAL RAIL'fdAY E1MGENCY EXPENSE
WHEREAS, Since the adoption of the annual
appropriation ordinance for the fiscal year ending December 31,
1928, an emergency and unforeseen contingency has arisen, whereby
it has become and is necessary to pay Five Hundred ($500 oo )
Dollars for Municipal.. Railway Emergency expense,, and the public
necessity requires an additional appropriation of public funds
therefor , therefore
BE IT DRDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
Section 1. That there be and hereby is appropriated
out of the Municipal Railway revenues for the year 1929, unless,
taken up prior thereto, the sum of Five Hundred ($500.00)
Dollars, to be used to pay for Municipal Railway expense , which
said sum, when this ordinance takes efiectF shall be credited on
the books of the City Clerk and City Treasurer to the Municipal
Railway Emergency Fund, and registered five (5%) per cent warrants
of the City shall be issued to cover said amount..
Section 2. In the opinion of the City Council an
emergency exists for the preservation of the public health, peace
and safety, and this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage
and publication, under and by virtue of the authority contained
in Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter.
Introduced, read at length and adopted by the
unanimous vote of all members of the City Council at a regular
meeting held this 14th dap/of April, A. D. 1928.

I, A. J ROSENOW, City Clerk of the City of Fort
Collins , do hereby certify and declare that the foregoing
ordinance , consisting of two (2 ) sections was duly proposed
and read at length at a regular meeting of the City Council held
on the 14th day of April, A. D. 1928 , and was duly adopted and
ordered published in the Fort Collins Express-Courier,, a daily
newspaper and the official newspaper of the City of Fort Collins,
by the unanimous vote of all members of the Council, as an
emergency ordinance , in accordance with the provisions of
Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter, anti thereafter,
and on to-wit the / 7 = day of April, A. D 1928, said Ordinance
No. �_ was duly published in the Fort Collins Express-
Courier, a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Collins,
Colorado.
