HomeMy WebLinkAbout037 - 12/01/1928 - AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF 5% REGISTERED WARRANTS IN THE AMOUNT OF $1600 FOR WILLOW STREET EXTENSIO f } ORDINANCE NO. 37 BEING AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AUTH0=1XG THE ISSUANCE OF FIVE PER CENT REGISTERED WARRANTS IN THE AMOUNT OF v 1600.00 FOR WILLOW STREET EXTENSION FUND, WHEREAS. Since the adoption of the annual appropriation ordinance for the fiscal year ending December 31st, 1928, an emergency and unforeseen contingency has arisen, whereby it has become and is necessary to pay One thousand six hundred (° 1609.00 ) Dollars for the purpose of purchasing ground for the extension of Willow Street , and the public necessity requires an additional appropriation of public funds therefor; therefore BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS: Section 1. That there be and, hereby is appropriated out of the general revenues of the City of Fort Collins for the years 1929, 1930, 1931 and 1932, unless taken up prior thereto, the sum of One thousand six hundred ( 1600,00 ) Dollars, to be used to pay for ground for t he extension of Willow Street , which said sum, when this ordinance takes , effeet, shall be credited on the books of the City Clerk and City Treasurer to Willow Street Extension Fund, and registered five (5%) per cent warrants of the City of Fort Collins shall be Issued to oover said amount. Section 2. In the opinion of the City Council an emergency exists for the preservatioh of the public health, peace and safety, a.nd this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and publication, under and by virtue of the authority contained in Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter. -1- , Introduced, read at length and adopted by tYs unanimous vote of all members of the City Council at a regulair meeting held this 1st day of December, A. D. 1928, and was duly adopted and ordered published in the Fort Collins Express- Courier , a daily newspaper and the official newspaper of the City of Fort Collins, hg the unanimous vote of all members of the City Council, as an emergency ordinance, in accordance wiv.L, the provisions of Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter; and t1L reaf ter and on to-wit : the 6th day of December , A. D. 1928, said Ordinance No. 37 was duly published in the Fort Collins Express-Courier, a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Collins, Colorado.
