HomeMy WebLinkAbout017 - 06/12/1926 - AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF 6% REGISTERED WARRANTS IN THE AMOUNT OF $1000 FOR MUNICIPAL RAILWAY EMER ORDINANCE NO / 7 , 1926, BEING AN ETERGENCY ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF SIX PEP CENT REGISTERED WARRANTS IN THC AMOUNT OF $11M oo FOR MUNICIPAL RAILWAY EMERGENCY ERPENSE FMPEAS, Since the adoption of the annual appropriation ordinance for the fiscal year ending Decembe- 31, 1926 an emergency and unforeseen contingency has arisen, whsraby it has b3come and is necessary to pay One thousand ($1 000 oo) Dollars for 14anicipal Railway Emergency expense, and tha putl n necessity r3quires an additional appropriation of public funds therefor, therefore BE IT ORDAIVED BY THE CITY COJNCIL OF mHP CITY OF FORT COLLINS Section 1 That there be and hereby is appropriated out of the Mumicipal Railway revenues for the year 1927, unless taken up prior Dollars +hs"sto, the sum of One thousand ($1 000 oo)�/to be used to pay for Municipal Railway Emergency expense, which said cum, vuhen this ordinance takes effect, shall be credited on the books of the City Clerk and City Treasurer to the Municipal Railway Emergency Fund, and registered six (6%) per cent warrants of the City shall be issued to cover said amount Sec+ion 2 In the opinion of the City Council an emergency exists for the pr-adrvation of the public health, peace and safety, and this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and publication, under and by virtue of the authori+y contained in Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter Introduced, read at length and adopted by the unanimous vote of all members of the City Council at a regular meeting held this 12th day of June, A D 1926 Cor&nissionsr of Safo d Ex-Offic o "flayor ATTEST City Clerk STYE OF COLORADO ) SS COUNTY OF LARIMER ) I, A J ROSENOW, City Clerk of the City of Fort Collins, do hereby certify and declare that the foregoing ordinance, consisting of two (2) sections was duly proposed and read at length at a regular meting of the City Council held on the 12th day of June, A D 1926, and was duly adopted and ordered published in the Fort Collins Express-Courier, a daily newspaper and the official newspaper of the City of Fort Collins, by themanimous vote of all members of the Council, as an emergency ordinance, in accordance with the provisions of Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter and thereafter, and on to-wit the day of June, A D 1926, said Ordinance No /z_ was duly published in the Fort Collins Express-Couri-r, a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Collins, Colorado IN wImNESS WMOF, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of said City this 1S' day of June, A D 1926 City Clerk
