HomeMy WebLinkAbout026 - 11/27/1926 - AMENDING SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE NO. 002, 1921, RELATING TO FEES FOR DOG LICENSES (EMERGENCY ORDINANC ORDINANCE NO , 1926, BEING AN EWRGENCY ORDINANCE AMNDING S2CTION 1 OF ORDINANCE NO 2, 19212 RELAmING TO FEES FOR DOG LICENSES BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUICIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS Section 1 That Section 1 of Ordinance No 2, 1921, relating to fees for dog licenses, be emended so as to read as follows "Section 1 Every owner or possessor and every person who harbors or kaepe any dog or dogs1:9 m>onthsold or older within the corporate limits of the City of Fort Collins, shall, as soon as any dog shall come into his possession and annually thereafter on January first pay to the City Clerk of the City of Fort Collins, for the use and benefit of the City, the sum of Two ($2 00) Dollars for each and every male dog, and the sum of Four ($4 00) Dollars for each and every female dog owned possessed, narbored or Kept by such person, except upon the exhibition to the City Clerk of a certificate issued under the hand of a duly licensed veterinarian, blaring date prior to the application for such license, which said certificate shall show that the female dog has been duly spayed and contain a sufficient description to identify said animal for which license is sought, then the fee for sucn spayed dog shall be Two ($2 00) Dollars All license fees from July first to December thirty-first of each year sYall be one-'calf of the fess above enumerated Section 2 All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby rapaaled Section 3 In the opinion of the City Council an emergency exists for the pressrvation of the public health, peace and safety, and this ordinance shall take offset upon its passage and publication under and bi virtue of the authority contained in Sect ons 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter Introduced, read at length and adopted by the unanimous vote of all the members of the City Council this E�th day of November, A D 1926 Co amiesioner of Safe nd E'x+-Offic o MayorATTEST City Clerk STATE OF COLORADO ) ) SS COUNTY OF LARIMFP ) I A X ROSENOw, City Clerk of the City of Fort Collins, do hereby certify and declare that the foregoing ordinance consisting of three (3) sections was duly proposed d read at length at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the Wth day of November, A D 1926, and was duly adopted and ordered published in the Fort Collins Express- CaLrier, a daily newspaper and the official newspaper of the City of Fort Collins, by the unanimous vote of all the members of the City Council, as an emergency ordinance in accordance with the provisions of Sections 6 and 7 of Arti-cle IV of the CitySharter of the City of Fort Collins, and thereafter and Wte-;*it the 3o day of November, 1926, said Ordinance No a G was duly published in the Fort Collins Exprass-Courier, a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Collins, Colorado IN WITNTSS VMF'REOF, I Ova hereunto set my hand and affifed the seal of said City, this d� day of November A D 1926 City Clerk
