Public notice is hereby given that the follow"ng ordinance was introduced, read and ordered printed, at a regula . ding of the City Council of the city of Fort Collins, Colorado, held August �=; 1904. City Clerk. Ordinance No 7 1904. Relating to he (Use of Automobiles and other Vehicles on the Streets and in Public Parks . Be it ordained by the City Council of the city of Fort Collins, Colorado. Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person to drive, ride or propel any automobile, bicycle, or vehicle of any kind, upon the streets or alleys within the corporate limits of the city of Fort Col- lins or n any public park of said city, at a greater rate of speed tharS iles an hour, aop fteress wtv- sbyeeb - tern , or around any corner, y, er-lt ,152 any---s-t within a corporate limits of said city, at a ?reater rate of speed than miles an hour. Section 2. It shall be unlawful to propel or move any automobile or vehicle of arty kind propelled by any motive power other than horse- power or man-power , into or amongst any crowd of vehicles hitched to horses , which may be congregated or standing together upon the streets or in the public parks of said city, as at open air concerts, exhibi- tions, or similar public: gatherings. Section 3. whenever any automobile, or vehicle of any kind pro-_ pelled by any motive power other than horse-power or man-power, shall approach a horse or horses which are being driven, ridden or led in the streets or alleys within the corporate limits of the city of Fort Collins, or in any public park of said city, the person or persons in control of such automobi or vehic e' s 1 k 1 reasonable re- cautions, such ' , 11 ecrea in, he peed, keeping out of the way (if necessary and, possille) , or giving a signal of warning, so as to prevent the fri7htenins7 of horses wick-maybe being driven, ridden or led, as aforesaid. Section 4. Every person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall, upon conviction thereof, be fined, in the discretion of the court, not less than five dollars nor more than one hundred dollars and costs of suit; and in default of payment of such fine and costs, shall be imprisoned in the city or county jail, not less than five nor more th?n ninety days . Section 5. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. ---------0-------- The foregoing ordinance was introduced and read at a regular Q ' A-almeet�ing�of the City Council of the City of Fort Collins, Colorado, on the A)l day of August , A.
