HomeMy WebLinkAbout002 - 01/29/1916 - ADOPTING THE PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 165 OF THE LAWS PASSED AT THE 20TH SESSION OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBL ORDINANCE NO _ 1916 AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING FOR THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS COLORADO THE PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED SIXTY-FIVE OF THE LAWS PASSED AT THE TIVENTIETH SESSION OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF COLORADO, ENTITLED "Ali ACT TO ENABLE CITIES AND TOWNS TO REFUND THEIR BONDED INDEBTED- NESS " APPROVED APRIL 12th 1915 AREAS the City of Fort Collins in L arimer County Colorado has certain outstanding bonds which it desires to refund under the laws of the state of Colorado and the charter of said city and WHEREAS section eighteen of article nineteen of the charter of Fort Collins provides that sections numbered 6687 and 6694 inclusive of the revised statutes of Colorado 1908 relating to refunding bonds are made and declared to be in full force and effect in the city until otherwise provided by ordinance and AREAS sections numbered 6687 and 6694 inclusive of the revised statutes of Colorado 1908 have been repealed and in lieu thereof there has been enacted chapter one hundred sixty-five, of the laws passed at the twentieth session of the General Assembly of the state of Colorado which act was approved April 12th 1915 and WHEREAS the city council deems it advisable to refund the outstanding bonds of the city in accordance with the provisions of said chapter one hundred sixty-five Now THerefore BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS Section 1 That the provisions of chapter one hundred sixty-five of the laws passed at the twentieth session of the General Assembly of the state of Colorado entitled "An Act to enable cities and towns to refund their bonded indebtedness " approved April 12 1915 be and they are hereby made and declared to be in full force and effect in the city of Fort Collins Section 2 That as provided by said chapter one hundred sixty-five no ordinance providing for the issue of refunding bonds shall be subject to the referendum provisions of any law Section 3 This, ordinance after its introduction and ak reading, shall be published in full in m ..� a daily newspaper of general circulation published in the City of Fort Collins in its issue of January 18 1916 and after its final passage shall be recorded in the ordinance record to be authenticated by the diignatures of the Commissioner of Safety and Ex-Officio Mayor and attested with the corporate �/ seal � byy/the City Clerk �anddppublished one insertion in CK 7 ( pi�w, YN srrw��t' 6g daily newspaper of general circulation published in the City of Fort Collins and shall take effect and be in force upon the expiration of thirty (30) days after it has been so published uhless a referendum petition has been filed against the same Introduced read and ordered published this 17th day of January A D 1916 � z Fc�� C A c, Commissioner of Safety and Ex-Officio Mayor ATTE� City Clerk STATE OF COLORADO ) -ss COUNTY OF LARILM ) I .
