RELATING TO SMOKE DECLARING �=N THE SAPM SHALL BLCOME A
NUISANCE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR ITS VIOLATION

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
Section 1 The permitting of causing of dense smoke or
any obnoxious gas or vapor to be discharged from any smoke-
stack or chimney within the corporate limits of the City of
Fort Collins is hereby _declared deletiprious to the life _

health Pnd property of the inhabitants and to be a! nuisance
and it shall be unlawful to maintain any such nuisance within
the corporate limits of said city
Section 2 Any owner proprietor lessee occupant
engineer or fireman of any building who shall permit or allow
dense smoke or any obnoxious gases or vapors to be emitted from
the smoke-st ck or chimney of any such building under nis con-

trol A shall be deemed an held guilty of an offense in violation
of the provisions of this ordinance and upon confiction shall
be fined not less than !LZAZ(/0 dollars nor more than

or vapor is allowed to be emitted shall be deemed and held a
separate offense

Collins do hereby certify and declare that the foregoing
oi.dinance consisting of two (2) sections duly proposed
and read at length at a meeting of the City Council held
on the 17th day of July 1916 was duly ordered by "Aye" and
"Play" vote to be published in the Fort Collins Morning
Express a daily newspaper of the City of Fort Collins in
accordance with the provisions of Section 7 of Article IV
of the Citv Charter that thereafter and on to-wit the

City Council said ordinance came before said Council mn its
final passage a period of more than ten days having
elapsed since the publication as above set forth and that
the said ordinance was upon second reading adopted as an
ordinance and thereafter and on to-wit the L 3 day of
August 1910 said Ordinance No 110_ as finally
passed and adopted was duly published in the Fort Collins
idorning Express a daily newspaper published in the City
of Fort Collins Colorado
