'WHEREAS, Spruce street in the City of Fort Collins has been
for many years abandoned by the public , and has been closed to
public travel because of the construction of railroads, ditches
and buildings on said street ; and,
VJTT R1EAS, College avenue was originally platted with a width
of 180 feet , and a strip off from the east side of said College
avenue, opposite Block 4, and clock 6 Vort ro111ns, has been long
disused and abandoned and valuable improvements have been erected
thereon; and,
1iVFF_RT?kS1 by resolutions of the City Council of Fort Collins,
passed on,or about the 21st day of September, 1903, it was resolved
that said spruce street be abandoned, and that said College
avenue be narrowed, and that a strip off frora the east side
thereof, opposite said ?lock 6 and said Block 4 in Fort Collins
be vacated; and pursuant to said resolution, and in reliance there-
on, large expenditures of money have been ,made in improving said
Spruce street and said portion of College avenue.
NM, THEREFORE, for the purpose of confirming the vacation
made by said resolution, and properly quieting all questions
concerning; the title which the persons so improving said vacated
portions of said streets have in and to the sane---

COLORADO:
Section 1. That ali of Spruce street in said City be and
the same is hereby vacated, abandoned and abolishedg
Section 2. That College avenue in said City of Fort
Collins be anti the same is hereby narrowed from the south-

westerly corner of said '91ock 6 north to the northwest corner of
Block 4, in said City of Fort Collins, and to that and that that
part of said College avenue described as follows, viz : Beginning
at the westerly corner of said Block 6 in Fort Collins; thence
northwesterly to a point , which is the intersection of the center
line of Spruce street produced, with a line drawn parallel to
the west line of said Block 4 , a distance of 40 feet nest from
said west line; thence northwrly, parallel with and 40 feet
distant from the :vest line of Block 4 in Fort Collins, as original-
ly platted and r>corded, to a point where said line intersects the
north line of the right of ✓ray of The Greeley, Salt Lake and
Pacific Railroad Company (now The Colorado k- Southern Railway
Company) ; thence northeasterly to the northwest corner in said
Block 4 in Fort. Collins; thence southerly along said west line
of Block 4 to the south corner of Lot 10 therein; thence in a
direct line from said south corner of Lot 10 in said Block 41
to the place of be,;-inning,--be and the same is hereby vacated,
abolished and abandoned.
"ection 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage.
