OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROPRIATING UNANTICIPATED GRANT REVENUE IN THE GEN/RALUND
FOR THE RESTORATION OF THE COCA-COLA AND ANGELL'S D ICATESSEN
SIGN LOCATED ON MOUNTAIN AVENUE
WHEREAS, the City was awarded a grant in the amount of$22, 0 (the "Grant")from the
Colorado Historical Society's State Historical Fund for the restoratio of the deteriorating 1958
Coca-Cola and Angell's Delicatessen sign on the J.L.Hohnstein Bloc ,220 East Mountain Avenue;
and
WHEREAS, the Grant requires $22,494 in matching f nds and also requires that the City
administer the distribution of the Grant funds and the match' g funds; and
WHEREAS,$13,411 of the matching funds will be p'rovided by the Downtown Development
Authority, $6,388 by the City, $2,195 by Progressive Old Town Square, LLC and S500 by the Fort
Collins Historical Society; and /
WHEREAS, the matching funds from the City in the amount of$6,388 are currently in the
General Fund for Advance Planning and availa e for transfer to the sign restoration project; and
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 9, the City Charter permits the City Council to make
supplemental appropriations by ordinance t any time during the fiscal year, provided that the total
amount of such supplemental appropria .ons, in combination with all previous appropriations for
that fiscal year, does not exceed the rrent estimate of actual and anticipated revenues to be
received during the fiscal year; and
WHEREAS,Article V,S tion 10,of the City Charter authorizes the City Council to transfer
by ordinance any unexpected a unencumbered appropriated amount or portion thereof from one
fund to another fund, provide that the purpose for which the transferred funds are to be expended
remains unchanged; and
WHEREAS, Cit staff has determined that the appropriation of the Grant revenue and the
matching funds as desc bed herein will not cause the total amount appropriated in the General Fund
to exceed the current stimate of actual and anticipated revenues to be received in that fund during
the fiscal year.
NOW, T EREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS as Ilows:
Sec on 1. That there is hereby appropriated from unanticipated grant revenue and
matching unds in the General Fund the sum of THIRTY EIGHT THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED
SIX D LARS ($38,306)for expenditure in the General Fund for restoration of the Coca-Cola and
Ange 's Delicatessen sign on the J.L. Hohnstein Block, 200 East Mountain Avenue.

Section 2. That the unexpended appropriated amount of SIX THOUS D THREE
HUNDRED EIGHTY EIGHT DOLLARS ($6,388) is hereby authorized for tr4nsfer from the
General Fund for Advance Planning to the restoration of the Coca-Cola and An 1Is Delicatessen
sign project and appropriated therein.
