RELATING TO ^_HT VACATION OF A PORTION OF THE ALLEY Iid
BLOCK 2 IN CRAFT' S RE-SUBDIVISION OF LAKE PARK ADDITION
TO THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS, COLORADO AND THE OPENING
OF A NF7 ALLEY TO CONNECT WITH THE UNVACATED PORTION OF
SAID ALLEY.
7SREAS, School Listrict No. 5 in the County of Lari-
mer and State of Colorado, duly petitioned the City Council
for a vacation of a portion of the allay in Block 2, Craft' s
Re-subdivision of Lake Park Addition to the City cf Fort
Collins, the said petitioner being the owner of Lots 1 to
13 inclusive which are occupied for school purposes, the
lands to be used for play grounds and improvements of swid
School District upon the condition that the City of Fort Col-
ins will adopt 2n ordinance vacating the alley in said
Block 2 from the east size of Lot 1 in said Block to the
center of Lot 13; the said School District V o. 5 will convey
to the City of Fort Collins the rest half of Lot 13 to per-
mit toe City to open an alley connecting the unvacuted por-
tion of said alley with Garfield Street on the south; and
=REAS, School District No. 5 has duly executed and
delivered a conveyance to the City of Fort Collins of the
: ast half of Lot 13 for the purpose of carrying cut the ob-
jects an, purposes of said petition; therefore
BE IT ORDAINED BY T77 CITY COUNCIL OF THE CT_TY OF
TORT COLLI7T.
Sec. 1. That the alley in Block 2, Craft' s Re-subdivision
of Lake Park Additicn to the Cite of Fort Collins from the
east sida of said Block to the center of Lot 13 be are the
same is hereby vacated and the right to the use and enjoyment
of that portion of the alley vacated is granted to School
District No. 5 of Larimer County, for school and play ground
purposes.
Sec . 2. The rest half of Lot 13 being a tract of land
t•..enty (20) feet o,ide by one hundred forty (140) feet long
extending fro:: the west end of the vacated portion of the
allay in Block 2 to the south side of said Block be and the

same is hereby ordered opened as an alley for toe purp cae
of connectin the old alley arith Garfield' Street, and the
Co:rmissioner of Works of the City of Fort Collins is hereby
authorized and directed to provide for the opanin of said
allay and connecting the same tsith Garfield Street as an
c.11ey dedicated to the use of the zeneral public.

ordinance consisting cf two (2) sections was duly proposed
and read at len: th at a rarular meeting of the City Council

duly ordered by aye and nay vote to be published once in
full in The Fort Collins Express, a daily newspaper of the
City of Fort Collins, in accordance with the Lrovisions of
Section 7 of Article IV of the City Charter; that thereafter
and on, to-wit, the 5 day of &e.; ,1918, at an
adjourned regular meeting of the City Council, the said
Ordinance came before said Council upon its final passage,
a period of more than ten days having elapsed sues its
publication as above set forth, and that said Ordinance was
upon second reading adopted as an crdinance, and thereafter
and on, to--nit, the 8 44� day of d2tA , 1s18, said
Ordinance No. _q as finally passed and adopted was duly
published in The Fort Collins Express, a daily newspaper
published in the said City of Fort Collins, Colorado.
