BEING AN EMERGENCY APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE SUPPLEMENTING
THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATIONS FADE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING
DECEMBER 31, 1918.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS:
Section 1. That there be and hereby is appropriated
out of the revenues of the City of Fort Collins for the
year beginning January 1, 1918 and ending December 31, 1918,
in addition to the annual appropriation heretofore made for
said fiscal period, the sum of $18,323.00, which said sum
is supplemental to the appropriations heretofore made for
the different departments of the city government and is
hereby divided and appropriated for the following purposes,
to-wit:

Section 2. By reason of the fact that the appropri-
.tions for t}a fiscal year ending December 31, 1918 are in-
sufficient to meet the demands and requirements of the
different departments of the city government, it is imper-

ative that this supplemental appropriation to provide for the
needs of the different departments for the present fiscal
year shall be made effective at once, and it is hereby de-
clared that an emergency exists for the preservation of the
public health, peace and safety; and, therefore, pursuant to
the authority contained in Section 6 of Article IV of the
City Charter, this ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force upon its passage, adoption acid publication i:: the offi-
cial newspaper under the provisions of Section 7 of Article
IV of the City Charter.
Introduced, read and adopted by the vote of all tre mem-
bers of the City Council this day of December, A. D.

I, A. J. Rosenow, City Clerk o1 the City of Fort Col-
lins, do hereby certify and declare that the foregoing
ordinance consisting of two (2) sections was duly proposed
and read at length at a meeting of the City Council held
on the 1 day of December, A.D. 1918, and was duly
adopted and ordered published in the official newspaper of
the City of Fort Collins by the unanimous vote of all the
members of the City Council as an emergency ordinance in
aoeordance with the provisions of Sections S and 7 of
Article IV of the City Charter, and thereafter and on, to-
wit, the 7 - day of December, A. D. 1918, said Ordin-
ance No. /-Z— was duly published in The Fort Collins
Express, a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort
Collins, Colorado.
IN 7ITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and
affixed the seal of said City this day of December,
A. D. 1918.
