ORDINANCE NO 8 , 1929 ,
BEING AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF FIVE
PER CENT REGISTERED WARRANTS IN THE AMOUNT OF $2100 oo ACCOUNT
OF REFUNDING MUNICIPAL RAILWAY PURCHASE BONDS
WHEREAS, Since the adoption of the annual appropriation
ordinance for the fiscal year ending December 31st , 1929 , an
emergency and unforeseen contingency has arisen, whereby it has
become and is necessary to pay Twenty-one hundred ($2100 oo )
Dollars on account of Refunding Municipal Railway Purchase Bonds,
and the public necessity requires an additional appropriation
of public funds therefor, therefore
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
Section 1 That there be and hereby is appropriated
out of the general revenues of the City of Fort Collins for the
years 1930, 1931, 1932 and 1933, unless taken up prior thereto,
the sum of Twenty-one hundred J$2100 00) Dollars to be used on
account of Refundii)- Municipal Railway Purchase Bonds, and which
said sum, when this ordinance takes effect, shall be oredited on
the books of the City Clerk and the City Treasurer to Refunding
Municipal Railway Purchase Bonds, and registered five (5%) per
cent warrants of the City shall be issued to cover said amount
Section 2 In the opinion of the City Council an
emergency exists for the preservation of the public health, peace
and safety, and this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage
and publication under and by virtue of the authority contained in
Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter

do hereby certify and declare/the foregoigg ordinance, consisting of
two (2) sections, was duly proposed and read at length at a regular
meeting of the City Council held on the 15th day of March, A D 1929 *
and was duly adopted and ordered published in the Fort Coliins
Express-Courier, a daily newspaper and the official newspaper of the
City of Fort Collins, by the unanimous vote of all members of the
City Council, as an emergency ordinance , in accordance with the pro-
visions of Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter, and
thereafter and on to-wit the ��1 t�h day of March, A D 1929, said
Ordinance No 8 was duly puu—F stied in the Fcrt Collins Express-
Courier a dailF-Wewspaper published in the City of Fort Coliins.
