BEING AN EIMRGENCY ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE ERECTION OF BUILDINGS IN
THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS OUTSIDE OF THE FIRE LIMITS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TFiE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any house or building
to be hereafter erected or placed , within the City limits of the City
of Fort Collins and outside of the fire limits of said City, nearer
than Twenty (20) feet to the property line facing the street and Ten (10)
feet from the property line of the adjoining street
Section 2 No business block or building or building adapted
or intended for business purposes shall be erected within said City outside
of the fire limits unless permission to construct the same is granted
by the City Council
Section 3 Any building which may be hereafter erected,
altered, enlarged or removed or be in process of erection, enlargement,
alteration or removal contrary to the provisions of this ordinance shall
oe deemed a nusiance, and. any person who snail violate or fail to comply
witn ary of the provisions of this ordinance shall upon conviction thereof
be fined in a sum of nor, less then One Hunrlred ($100) Dollars nor more
than Three Hunr3red ($300) Dollars and costs of suit for each offense
Section 4 In the opinion of the City Council an emergency
exists for the preservation of the public health, peace and safety,
and this ordinance snail take effect upon its passage and publication,
under and by virtue of the authority contained in Section 6 and. 7 of
Article IV of the City Charter

of all members of the City Council, this 26th day of July, A D 1924.
