BEING Aid EI4ERGENCY ORDINANCE AP'ENDING SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE NO 17,
1924, RELATING TO THE ERECTION OP BUILDINGS IN THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS OUTSIDE OF THE FIRE LIMITS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
Section 1 That Section 1 of Ordinance No 17, 1924,
being an ordinance relating to the erection of buildings in the City
of Fort Collins outside of the fire limits , be and the same is hereby
amended to read as follows
"Section 1 It shall be unlawful for any house or
building to be hereafter erected or placed, within the City limits
of the Cit71 of Fort Collins and outside of the fire limits of said
City, nearer than tioenty (20) feet to the property line at the end
of lots facing the street and ten (10) feet from the property line
at the side of lots abutting on the adjoining street Provided,
that, upon application and satisfactory proof being presented to the
City Council that the present or proposed situation of any particular
building or structure is, by reason of location or general plan
of substantial buildings or structures in the vicinity, reasonably
necessary for the convenience or welfare of the public or community,
the City Council may by Resolution approve such proposed situation
and b3 suen approval exempt anv such building or structure from the
limitations herein to the extent named in such Resolutions"
Section 2 Any right of cause ®f action existing in
favor of the City of Fart Collins prior to the taking effect of this
ordinance, or any violation of uhe amended ordinance, shall not be
affected by this amendment, but that the same may be prosecutca after
the taking effect of this ordinance as though no amendment had been
made
Sectior 3 In the opinion of the City Council an
emergency exists for the preservation of the public health peace and
safety and tars ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and
publication, under and by virtue of the authority contained in
Section 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter
Introduced, read at length and adopted by the unanimous
vote of all members of the City Council, this 18th day of October A D
1924

do hereby certify and declare that the foregoing ordinance, consisting
of three (3) sections, was duly proposed and read at length at a
regular meeting of the City Council held on the 18th day of October,
A D 1924, and was duly adopted and orde,. ed published in the Fort
Collins Express-Courier, a daily newspaper and the official newspaper
of the City of Fort Collins, by the unanimous vote of all members
of the Council, as an emergency ordinance in accordance with the
provisions of Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter,

and thereafter, on to-wit the 2 day of October, A D 1924,
said Ordinance No -?2 was duly published in the Fort Collins
Express-Courier, a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort
Collins, Colorado
