BEIDG AN EMZJRGENCY ORDINANCE AMENDING THAT PORTTION OF SECTION 6
OF ORDINANCE NO 10, 1914, RELATING TO SIDEIVALKS, CURBS AND GUTTERS
IN SO FAR AS THE SAME PERTAINS TO THE DISTANCE'OF SIDEWALK AND
CURB LINES FROM THE PROPERTY LINES ON AKIN AVENUE AND FIXING AND
ESTABLISHING THE GRADES FOR AKIN AVENUE, IN THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
41HEREAS, Sidewalks and curbs on Alain Avenue, and par-
ticularly on the North side thereof, have been heretofore located
and constructed and now exist approximately 6 5 feet south of
their correct locations as established with reference to the
property lines under and by virtue of Section 6 of Ordinance No
10, 1914 and it is desired to disturb the existing conditions
as little as possible in the location of future curbs and side-
walks on said Akin Avenue, now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
Section 1 That Section 6 of Ordinance No 10, 1914
relating to sidewalks , curbs and gutters , and particularly tnat
portion of said Section 6 fixing the distance of curbing and side-
valks from the property line on 70 foot streets, be and the same
is hereby amended to except Akin Avenue therefrom
Section 2 That the inside edge o= the sidewalk on
the North side of Akin Avenue shall be 9 5 feet south of the north
property line the North curb line shall be 19 8 feet from the nortn
property line, the inside edge of the sidewalk on the South side
of said Akin Avenue shall be 0 5 feet north of the south property
line ana the South curb line shall be 10 2 feet north of the south
property line
Section 3 That the grade for Akin Avenue, as thus
amended, is hereby fixed established and declared to be as follows ,
to-grit All elevations being referred to the City Datum B M 104 76
at the intersection of the walks on the corner of College Avenue
and Oak Street at the Post Office corner
Beginning at the west curb line of South Washington Avenue,
ihich is station 39 plus 48, north curb 132 70 north gutter 132 06
south gutter 132 27, south curb 132 91, at Station 39 plus 60 which
is the west property line of South Washington Avenue, north walk
133 14, center line 133 40, south walk 133 20 at station 40 plus
60 which is a break in grade, north wall 134 80, north curb 134 50,
north gutter 133 86, center line 135 00 south gutter 134 06 south
curb 134 70 south walk 134 80, at station 43 plus 4 which is the
east property line of Gordon Street on the south side of Akin Avenue..
south walk 138 10, at station 43 plus 12 4 which is the east curb
line of Gordon Street, south curb 137 90, south gutter 137 30, at
station 43 plus 30 4 which is the center line of Gordon Street, at
the center line of Akin Avenue, 138 30, at station 43 plus 48 4
which is the %jest curb line of Gordon Street , south curb 137 95,
south gutter 137 35 at station 43 plus 60 4 which is the west
property line of Gordon Street on the south side of Akin Avenue
and a break in grade on the north side of Akin Avenue, north walk

at station 45 plus 27 3 whicn is the east property line of south
Mack Street, on the north side of Akin Avenue, north walk 139 16,
at station 45 plus 39 3 which is the east curb line of Mack Street,
north curb 139 20, north gutter 138 56 at station 45 plus 57 3
which is the center line of Mack Street at center line of Akin
Avenue, 139 80, at station 45 plus 75 3 which is the west curb
line of Mack Street , north curb 139 24 north gutter 138 60, at
station 45 plus 87 3 which is the west property line of Mack Street,
north walk 139 43, at station 47 plus 4 which is the east property
line of Wayne Street, on the south side of Akin Avenue, south walk
140 60, at station 47 plus 12 4 which is the east curb line of
Wayne Street, south curb 140 45 south gutter 139 85, at station
47 plus 30 4 which is the center line of Wayne Street, at the
center line of Akin Avenue, 141 00, at station 47 plus 48 4
which is the west curb line of Bayne Street, sotith curb 140 50

property line of Wayne Street, south walk 140 65 at station 51
plus 20 4 which is the east property line of Shields Street,

Section 4 In the opinion of the City Council an
emergency exists for the preservation of the public health, peace
and safety, and this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage
and publication, under and by virtue of the authoritj contained
in Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter
Introduced, read at length and adopted by the unanimous
vote of all members of the City Council this day of October,

of the City of Fort Collins by the unanimous vote of all members of
the Council, as an emergency ordinance, in accordance with the pro-
visions of Sections 6 and 7 of Art
