HomeMy WebLinkAbout008 - 09/15/1939 - REZONING LOTS 1 AND 2 BLOCK 106, HARRISON'S ADDITION TO ''C'' RESIDENCE DISTRICT (EMERGENCY ORDINANC ORDINANCE NO g 1939 BEING AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO 109 1929 AS AMENDED, BEING AN EMERGE1CY ORDINANCE TO REGULATE AND RESTRICT THE LOCATIONS OF BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES, AND THE USE OF BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES, AND TO DIVIDE THE CITY INTO CERTAIN DISTRICTS, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE AND CHANGING LOTS 1 and 2 BLOCK 106, HARRISON'S ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS TO "C" RESIDENCE DISTRICT BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS That Ordinance No 10 of the Series of 1929 as amended being an emergency ordinance to regulate and restrict the locations of buildings and structures and the use of buildings and structures and land the height and size of buildings and other structures the area and dimensions of open space in building lots the density of population and for said purpose to divide the City into districts and the zoning map adopted in connection therewith, be and the same is hereby amended by adding to Section II entitled "Zoning District Regulations " the following, to-wit Section 1 The zoning district map heretofore adopted and declared to be a part of this Ordinance , shall be changed and amended and is hereby changed and amended so that Lo$s 1 and 2 Block 106, Harrison' s Addition to the City of Fort Collins shall be taken from "B" Residence District and put into and made a part of "C" Residence District Section 2 That the City Engineer shall forthwith amend the original zoning district ~nap in compliance with the amendments and changes herein established Section 3 All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed Section 4 In the opinion of the City Council an emergency ecists for the preservation of the public health, -1- peace and safety and this Ordinance shall taKe effect upon its passage and publication under and by virtue of the authority contained in Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter Introduced read at length and adopted by the unanimous vote of all the members of the City Council at a regular meeting held this 15th day of September, A D 1939 Comma s er f ty and Ex-Officio Major Attest City Cler1c STATE OF COLORADO ) ss County of Larimer ) I, MILES F HOUSE, City Clerk of the City of Fort Collins do hereby certify and declare that the foregoing Ordinance, consisting of four (4) sections, was duly proposed and read at lengtn at a regular xaxzDt meeting of the Citj Council held on the 15th day of September A D 1939, and was duly adopted and ordered published in the Fort Collins Leader a weekly newspaper and the official newspaper of the City of Fort Collins by the unanimous vote of all members of the Citj Council as an emergency ordinance, in accordance with the provisions of Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter and thereafter and on to-wit the 21st day of September A D 1939, said Ordinance No g was duly published in the Fort Collins Leader a weekly news- paper published in the City of Fort Collins Colorado IN WITNESS 01HEREOF I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of said City, this 21st day of September A D 1939 City Cler
