HomeMy WebLinkAbout008 - 05/29/1930 - AMENDING SECTION 3 OF ORDINANCE NO. 023, 1920, RELATING TO AMUSEMENTS (EMERGENCY ORDINANCE) 1 i � r A-V)r� �cAl ORDINANCE NO 8 , 1930 � Ufa BEING AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF ORDINANCE NO 239 1920 RELATING TO AMUSEMENTS, PASSED AND ADOPTED JUKE 269 1920 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS i Section 1 That Section 3 of Ordinance No 23, 1920 relating to amusements, the same being an amendment of Section 491 of the Fort Collins Code, 1918, be and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto the following ` Section 3 (a) , All public golf courses, miniature golf courses or other similar forms of play where golf balls and clubs are used, or similar apparatus or instruments, and where a green fee or other charge is made for play thereon, or any other place where golf or a modification of said game or similar play is carried on for the use of the public, and a charge is made therefor, the proprietor, owner or manager shall pay a license fee thereon in the sum of One Hundred ($100 00) Dollars per annum, said license to terminate on the 31st day of December of the year in which it is issued, and the license fee shall not be divisible for any part of the year, but shall be the full sum of the license, regardless of the date of issuance It is further provided that play upon such course shall be between the hours of 5 00 A M and 11.00 P M only of each week day, exclusive of the first day of the week commonly called Sunday It is further provided that the premises on which said amusement is carried on shall at all -1- 3 � times be kept in a neat and orderly manner and loud and boisterous conduct shall not be permittdd thereon It is further provided that the owner, proprietor or manager of said place of amusement shall not allow any violation of the City ordinances upon said premises, on penalty of revocation of his license therefor and in case of any revocation of a license no refund of the license fee or any part thereof shall be made Section 2 All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed Section 3 In the opinion €3f the City Council an emergency exists for the preservation of the public health, peace and safety, and this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and publication, under and by virtue of the authority contained in Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter Introduced, read at length and adopted by the unanimous vote of all the members of the City Council at a called Iragai meeting held this 29th day of May, A D 1930 Commissioner of Safety and Ex-Officio Mayor ATTEST City Clerk s r STATE OF COLORADO ) SS COTTNTY OF LARIMER ) I, A J ROSEN0W, City Clerk of the City of Fort Collins, do hereby certif3 and declare that the foregoing ordinance consisting of three (3) sections was duly proposed and read at length at a called meeting of the City Council held on the 29th day of May, A D 1930, and vas duly adopted and ordered published in the Fort Collins Express-Courier, a daily newspaper and the official news- paper of the City of Fort Collins, by the unanimous vote of all members of the Council, as an emergency ordinance, in accordance with the provisions of Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter, and thereafter and on to-wit the 2n8, day of June,A D 1930, said Ordinance No 8 was duly published in the Fort Collins Express-Courier a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Collins, Colorado IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of said City this 2nd day of June,A A 1930 / City Clerk
