ELECTION TO BE HELD WITH RESPECT TO THE AMENDMENT OF ARTICLE XVIII
OF THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS BY ADDING THERETO
SECTION 24 CONCERNDTG ACQUIRING A kfMgICTPAL ELECTRIC LIGHT AND
POWEE? SYSTEI AND THE ISSUANCE IN FULL PAYDENT THEREFOR OF MUNICI-
PAL LIGHT AND POWER INTEREST BEARING REVENUE BONDS IN AN AMOUNT
NOT EXCEEDING THE PRINNCIF 4L SUM OF $7451000 00
WHEREAS, since the adoption of the annual
appropriation ordinance for the fiscal year ending December 31,
1932, an emergency and unforeseen contingency has arisen, whereby
it has become and is necessary to expend not to exceed the sun of
Twelve Hundred ($1200 00) Dollars on account of the costs and
expenses of holding a special election to adopt or reject a
proposed amendment to Article XVIII of the City Charter of the
City of Fort Collins, being designated as Section 24 concerning
acquiring a municipal light and power system and the issuance in
full payment therefor of municipal light and power interest bearing
revenue bonds in an amount not exceeding the principal sum of
$7459000 00
TT4EREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
Section 1. That there be and hereby is appro-
priated out of the general revenues of the City of Fort Collins
for the year 1933 and subsequent years, or from such other source
or sources as may hereafter be directed by the City Council,
unless taken up prior thereto the sum of Twelve Hundred ($1200 00 )
Dollars on account of the expenses arising in connection with a
special election to be hereafter held to vote upon the adoption
or rejection of a proposed amendment to Article XVIII of the City

Charter of the City of Fort Collins, being designated as
Section 24 concerning acquiring a municipal light and power
system and the issuance in full payment therefor of municipal
light and power interest bearing revenue bonds in an amount not
exceeding the principal stun of �745,000 00, and registered
% warrants of the City shall be issued to cover the amount
required tnerefor not to exceed the sum of Twelve Hundred
(01200 00) Dollars, the denomination of said warrants to be as
directed by the Commissioner of Finance, which said sum when
this ordinance shall take effect, shall be credited on the books
of the City Clerk and City Treasurer respectively to Municipal
Ownership Emergency Fund
Section 2 In the opinion of the City Council
an emergency exists for the preservation of the Aublic health,
peace anti safety, and this Oidinance shall take effect upon its
passage and publication, under and by virtue of the authority
contained in Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the CiTy Charter
Introduced, read at length and adopted by the
unanimous vote of all members of the City Council at a regular
meeting of the City Council held the 12th day of August, A D
1932

City of Fort Collins, do hereby certify and declare that the
aforesaid Ordinance, consisting of two (2) sections, was duly
proposed and read at length at a regular meeting of the City
Council held on the 12th day of August, A D 1932, and was
duly adopted and ordered published in the Fort Collins Ex-Dress-
Courier, a daily newspaper and the official newspaper of the
City of Fort Collins, by the unanimous vote of all members of
the City Council, as an Emergency Ordinance, in aacoidance with
the provisions of Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City
Charter, and thereafter and on to-wit the 16th day of August,
A D 1932, said Ordinance No 7 was duly published in the
Fort Collins Express-Courier, a daily newspaper published in the
City of Fort Collins, Colorado
