HomeMy WebLinkAbout013 - 06/29/1934 - RELATING TO DOGS (EMERGENCY ORDINANCE) n ORDINANCE NO Aa1 , 1934 BEING Ali EMERGENCY ORDINANCE RELATING TO DOGS BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS Section 1 That Section 1 of Ordinance No 2, Series of 1912, as amended by Ordinance No 2 of 1921 and by Ordinance No 26 of 1926, relating to dogs, be and the same is hereby amended by changing the last sentence therein so as to read as follows, to-wit All license fees from July 1st to December 31st of each year shall be one-half of the fees above enumerated, on any dog which was not subject to the payment of a city license tax prior to July 1st Section 2 That Section 2 of said Ordinance No 2, Series of 1912, be amended by adding thereto the following to-wit No verson other than the owner or some one authorized by him may remove any such register tag from any licensed dog or use place, or permit the use of any such tag on any other dog than the one licensed Section 3 That there be added to said Ordinance No 2 of 1912, as amended a section to be known as Section No 13-B, as follows, to-wit Section 13-B Airy person who shall keep any dog shut up or tied up in any yard house or other place witnin the city, which by barking or howling shall disturb the peace and quiet of any family individual or neighbornood shall , unon conviction be fined not exceed_ng the sum of ten dollars Section 4 All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed Section 5 In the opinion of the City Council an emergency exists for the preservation of the public health peace and safety, and this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage , under and by virtue of the authority contained in Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter Introduced, read at length and adopted by the unanimous vote of all members of the City Council this 29th day of June A D 1934 Commissioner of Safety and Ex-Officio Mayor Attest City Clerk STATE OF COLORADO ) SS COUnty of Larimer ) I, A J ROSENOW, City Clerk of the City of Fort Collins do hereby certify and declare that the aforesaid Ordinance, consisting of five (5) sections was duly proposed and read at length at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 29th day of June A D 1934 and was duly adopted and ordered published in the Fort Collins Express-Courier, a daily newspaper and the official newspaper of the City of Fort Collins by the unanimous vote of all members of the City Council , as an Emergency Ordinance in accordance with the provisions of Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter and therearter and on to-wit the day of July, A D 1934 said Ordinance No 13 was duly published in tre Fort Collins Express-Courier a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Collins, Colorado IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of said City, this day of July, A D 1934 City Clerk
