BEING AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 301 1924,
AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 10, 1927, BEING SECTION 306 OF
PART XXIX OF THE BUILDING CODE, ENTITLED "AT1NINGS "
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
Section 1 That Section 306 of Part XXIX of the
Building Code of the City of Fort Collins as contained in
Ordinance No 30 of the series of 1924 and amended by Ordi-
nance No 10 of the series of 1927, be and the same is hereby
amended to read as follows
"Section 306 Applications - Permits
Before any awning is erected, hung, re-covered,
or repaired (minor repairs excepted) so as to project
over any sidewalk in this City, the person, firm or
corporation responsible for such work shall file with
the Building Inspector an application for a permit,
describing the kind of awning proposed to be erected,
hung, re-covered, or repaired, the location of the same,
and the name of the owner of the premises, and such
application shall be countersigned by the person under
whose supervision the work is to be done, and such
application shall be accompanied by permit fee of $1 00
If found proper and conforming to the rules and regula-
tions and ordinances a permit shall be issued by the
Building Inspector No such work shall be done unless
by or under the supervision and responsibility of a
duly licensed person as provided in said Building Code
Section 2 Ordinance No 10 of the Series of 1927
and all other ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
with this ordinance are hereby repealed
Section 3 In the opinion of the City Council an
emergency exists for the preservation of the public health,
peace ana safety and this Ordinance shall take effect upon its
passage under and by virtue of the authority contained in
Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter

Introduced, read at length and adopted by the unani-
mous vote of all members of the City Council, at a regular
meeting of the City Council, held this 22nd day of January,

Ordinance, consisting of three Sections, was duly proposed
and read at length at a regular meeting of the City Council,
held on the 22nd day of January, A D 1943, and was duly
adopted and ordered published in the Fort Collins Express-
Courier, a daily newspaper and official newspaper of the
City of Fort Collins, by the unanimous vote of all members
of the City Council, as an Emergency Ordinance, in accordance
with the provisions of Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the
City Charter, and thereafter and on, to-wit the 26th
day of January , A D 1943 , said Ordinance No 1
was duly published in the Fort Collins Express-Courier, a
daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Collins, Colo-
rado
IN WITNESS TEEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and
