HomeMy WebLinkAbout014 - 09/26/1947 - AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 007, 1945, RELATING TO THE FIXING OF SCHEDULE OF RATES TO BE CHARGED BY THE C ORDINANCE NO 14 , 1947 BEING AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AidENDING ORDINANCE NO 79 1945, RELATING TO THE FIXING OF SCHEDULE OF RATES TO BE CHARGED BY THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS, INCLUDING RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR ALL ELECTRIC SER4ICE i,ITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AND UPON THE FRINGE LINES OUTSIDE THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS CONNECTED 41TH THE DISTRIBUTING SYSTEM OF THE FORT COLLINS LIGHT AND ROVER DEPARTMENT, PURSUANT TO THE PRO- VISIONS OF SECTIuN 4 OF ARTICLE XVIII OF THE CITY CHARTER, AND REPLALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREiITH BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL Ow lilt CIPY OF FORT COLLINS Section 1 That Paragraph 8 under General Service e Rules and regulations of Section 2 of Ordinance No 7, 19452 of the City of Fort Collins, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows, to-wit "8 Credit-Deposits-Payment Guarantees Applicants for service will be re uired to es- tablish credit satisfactory to the Department before applica- tions will be approved or service connected The Department may require of the consumer a cash deposit sufficient to cover sixty (60) days ' estimated service bill or a satisfactory guarantee of the payment of such bills for a like period Deposits will not be considered as advance pay- ment for service bills and will be applied as credits to service accounts only after service has been discontinued No interest will be paid by the Department upon such deposits after October 31 , 1947 " Section 2 All ordinances and o,rts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed Section 3 In the opinion of the City Council an emergency exists for the preservation of the public health, peace and safety, and this Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage under and by virtue of the authority contained in Sec- tions 6 and 7 of rticle IV of the City Charter Introduced, read at length and adopted by the unani- mous vote of all members of the City Council at an adjourned meet- ing held this 26th day of September, A �D 1947 Commissioner of Safety nd ex-officio Mayor Attest / ��Y_x�o �d City Clerk STATE OF CJLORADO, ) ss County of Larimer ) I, MILES F HOUSE, City Clerk of the City of Fort Collins, do hereby certify and declare that the aforesaid ordinance, eonsisting of three Sections, was duly proposed and read at length at an adjourned meeting of the City Council held on the 26th day of September, A D 1947, and was duly adopted and ordered published in the Fort Collins Coloradoan, a daily newspaper and official newspaper of the City of Fort Collins, by the unanimous vote of all members of the City Coun- cil , as an Emergency Ordinance, in accordance with the provisions of Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter and there- after and on, to-wit The 30th day of September , A D 1947 , said Ordinance No 14 was duly published in the Fort Collins Coloradoan, a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Collins, Colorado IN WITNESS FEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of said City, this 30th day of September, A D 1947 City y Clerk
