HomeMy WebLinkAbout001 - 02/14/1941 - REQUIRING THAT NO JUNK AND WRECKING YARDS SHALL BE LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS (EMERGENCY ORDINAN v ' ORDINANCE NO. 11, 1941 BEING AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 10 , 1929 , BEING AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE TO REGULATE AND RESTRICT THE LOCATION OF BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES AND THE USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND; THE HEIGHT AND SIZE OF BUILDINGS AND , OTHER STRUCTURES; THE AREAS AND DIMENSIONS OF OPEN SPACES ON BUILDING LOTS; THE DENSITY OF POPULATION; AND FOP SAID PURPOSES TO DIVIDE THE CITY INTO DISTRICTS; BY REQUIRING THAT 140 JUNK AND WRECKING YARDS SHALL BE LOCATED 'WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS UNLESS THE LOCATION OF SUCH SHALL HAVE BEEN APPROVED BY THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS: Section 1. That Section VIII of Ordinance No. 10 of the Series of 1929, entitled "F ' Industrial Districts , be and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto Item 12 as follows, to-wit : l2.Junk and wrecking yards. Section 2. All ordinances and parts of ordi- nances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 3. In the opinion of the City Council an emergency exists for the preservation of the public health, peace and safety, and this Ordinance shall take effect upon the passage and publication under and by virtue of the author- ity contained in Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter. Introduced, read at length and adopted by the unanimous vote of all the members of the City Council at a regular meeting held this 14th day of February, A. D. 1941.
