HomeMy WebLinkAbout007 - 11/29/1946 - RELATING TO THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 1947, AND ENDING DECE ORDINANCE NO 7 1946 BEING 'THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE, " AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 1947, AND ENDING DECEMBER 31, 1947, AND FILING THE MILL LEVIFS FOR SAID FISCAL YEAR BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS Section 1 That there be and is hereby appropriated out of the revenues of the City of Fort Collins for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 1947, and enaing December 311 19472 the sum of Two Hundred Seventy-five Thousand Seven Hundred Three and tirenty-two hundredths (t275,703 22) Dollars, to be raised by taxation and otherwise, wnich said sum is nereby divided ana appropriated for the folloiring purposes, to-wit DISBURSEIIENTS BY APPROPRIATIONS Building Inspection ------------------------------ $ 4,700 00 Engineering General Government -------------------- 41150 00 Fire Department ----------------------------------- 33,881 00 Forestry Department ------------------------------- 11000 00 Fort Collins Ladies Lounge ------------------------ 1,750 00 General Government -------------------------------- 14,000 00 Grandviev Cemetery -------------------------------- 16,200 00 Group Insurance ----------------------------------- 175 00 Library ------------------------------------------- 12, 000 00 Lights -------------------------------------------- 14,500 00 Parks - City -------------------------------------- 93500 00 Parks - Othei than City Park ---------------------- 5,528 00 Pioneer Museum ------------------------------------ 11100 00 Police Department --------------------------------- 30,178 00 Public Grounds and Buildings ---------------------- 4,414 00 Public Health ------------------------------------- 1,000 00 Streets and Alleys -------------------------------- 363835 00 Contingency Account ------------------------------- 518 47 $193 4 -+29 7- Preliminary Local Improvements -------------------- $ 10 000 00 Refunding Conduit Bonds Sinking Fund -------------- 5,781 25 Refunaing Bonds of 1939 Sinking Fund -------------- 31812 50 Refunding Water Bonds - Redemption and Interest --- 62,680 00 GRAND TOTAL --------------- $275,703 22 Section 2 Tnat for the purpose of providing neces- sary funds for meeting the appropriations set forth in Section 1 of this Ordinance, the following levies be and are nereby made upon each dollar of the assessed valuation of all taxable property within the corporate limits of the City of Fort Collins, the same being the amount necessary, together with estimated miscellaneous receipts, to provide for the payment of the fore- going appropriations and to meet the payment during the fiscal year ending December 31, 1947, of all properly authorized demands upon the City Treasurer, to-wit Refunding Conduit BondslSinking Fund 741 mills Refunding Bonas of 1939 Sinking Fund 489 mills General Expense 1 133 770 mills 15 000 mills being a total of 15 mills, which levies shall be certified to the County Assessor and to the Board of County Commissioners of Larimer County, Colorado, by the Commissioner of Safety and Ex- Officio Mayor ana the City Clerk, as provided by law Section 3 In the opinion of the City Council an emergency exists for the preservation of the public health, peace and safety, and this Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage i under and by virtue of the authority contained in Sections 6 and 1 7 of Azticle IV of the City Charter Introauced, read at length, and adopted by the unanimous vote of all members of the City Council at a regular meeting held this 29th day of November, A D 1946 Commissioner of Safety and ex-cfficio Mayor Attest City Clerk 2 i STATE OF COLORADO } SS- COUNTY OF LARIMER ) I, MILES F HOUSE, City Clerk of the City of Fort Collins, do hereby certify and declare that the foregoing Ordi- nance, consisting of three ( 3) sections, was duly proposed and read at length at a regular meeting of the City Council, held on the 29th day of November, A D 1946, and was duly adopted and ordered published in the Fort Collins Coloradoan, a daily newspaper and the official newspaper of the City of Fort Collins, by the unanimous vote of all members of the Council, as an emergency ordinance, in accordance with the provisions of Sec- tions 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter, and thereafter and on, to-wit the 3rd day of December, 1946, was duly published in the Fort Collins Coloradoan, a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Collins, Colorado IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my nand and affixed the seal of said City, this 3rd day of December, A D 1946 City Clerk
