HomeMy WebLinkAbout005 - 07/25/1941 - AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 017, 1936, AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 012, 1937, AND ORDINANCE NO. 013, 1937 v ORDINANCE NO 6 , 19410 BEING AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO 17, 19369 AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO 121 19379 AND ORDINANCE NO 13, 1937, AND ORDINANCE NO 3, 1941, REGULATING THE USE OF AND TRAFFIC UPON THE PUBLIC STREETS, ALLEYS AND SIDEWALKS IN THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS, PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF, AND PROVIDING FOR THE REGULATION OF TRAFFIC AT STREET INTERSECTIONS AND THE REGULATION OF PARKING OF ALL KINDS OF VEHICLES WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS Section 1 That Section 4 of Ordinance No 17, 19369 as amended, be and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto the following, to-wit "Provided, however, that at the intersection of College Avenue and Mountain Avenue the drivers of all vehicles turning to the left shall keep to the left of the center of the street " Section 2 All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed, save and except that all causes of action accrued in favor of the City of Fort Collins by reason of the violation of said ordinances prior to the taking effect of this amendment shall be prosecut- ed as though no amendment had been made Section 3 In the opinion of the City Council an emergency exists for the preservation of the public health, peace and safety, and this Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage under and by virtue of the authority contained in Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the CitylCharter Introduced, read at length and adopted by the unan- imous vote of all members of the City Council, at a regular meeting held this 25th day of July, A D 1941 Attest � Mayor ity Clerk STATE OF COLORADO, ) ss County of Larimer ) I, MILES F HOUSE, City Clerk of the City of Fort Collins, do hereby certify and declare that the aforesaid Ordinance , consisting of three (3 ) sections, was duly pro- posed and read at length at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 25th day of July, A D 1941, and was duly adopted and ordered published in the Larimer County Coloradoan, a weekly newspaper and the official newspaper of the City of Fort Collins, by the unanimous vote of all members of the City Council, as an Emergency Ordinance, in accordance with the provisions of Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter, and thereafter and on, to-wit the 31at day of July A D 1941, said Ordinance No 5 was duly pub- lished in the Larimer County Coloradoan, a weekly newspaper published in the City of Fort Collins, Colorado IN -WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of said City, this 31st day of July, A D 1941 l City lerk PROOF OF PL_JCATION !f� Karimer OfountB Toloradoan ` STATE OF COLORADO {!` as.
