HomeMy WebLinkAbout015 - 06/24/1922 - PROHIBITING THE KEEPING OF HIVES OF BEES WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY (EMERGENCY ORDINANC ORDINANCE NO. _15 , 1922 BEING AN Ei:IERGENCY ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE =PIITG OF RIVES OF BEES PTITHIN THE COF?OR^,TE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AND PROVIDING A PMITALTY MR VIOLATION THEREOF, BE IT ORDAINED BY TIM CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS: Section 1. That the keeping of hives of bees within the corporate limits of the City of Fort Rollins is a menace to the public health and safety of the lives of the inhabitants of the said city, and is hereby declared to be a nuisance. Section 2. The keeping of hives of bees within the corporate limits of the City of Fort Collins is hereby prohibited. Section 3. Any person., persons, or corporations violating the provisions of thI s ord anc, shall upon conviction be fined in a sum not less than _W5..00L__TwePty-five Dblldrs nor more than Three Hundred Dollars and costs of s--it, and each day of continuance shall constitute a separate offence. Section 4. In the cllnion of the City Council an emergency eiists for the preservation, of the public health, peace and safety, and this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and publication under and by virtue of the authority contained in Sections 5 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter.
