ORDINANCE NO. 147, 1979,
OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROPRIATING RESERVES ACCUMULATED IN PRIOR
YEARS FROM THE PERPETUAL CARE FUND AND AUTHORIZING
THE UTILIZATION OF SAID FUNDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
OF A CEMETERY IMIAINTENANCE FACILITY
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section D of Article V of the Charter of the
City of Fort Collins, authority exists for the making of appropriations
from reserves accumulated in prior years; and
WHEREAS, there has been accumulated in the Perpetual Care Fund ,
sufficient funds to pay for the construction of the cemetery maintenance
facility; and
WHEREAS, Section 42-8 of the Code of the City of Fort Collins provides
that the City Council shall determine all appropriations to be made from
the Perpetual Care Fund and that said appropriations shall be for a use not
inconsistent with the purposes of said Fund; and
WHEREAS, in the considered opinion of the. Council of the City of Fort
Collins, the utilization of portions of the Perpetual Care Fund for the
construction of a ceinetery maintenance facility is consistent with the
purposes of said fund .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That there is hereby appropriated from the Perpetual
Care Fund of the City of Fort Collins the sum of Ninety-Seven Thousand Five
Hundred Dollars ($97,500.00) , said monies having been accumulated in prior .
,years.
Section. 2. That the monies apprcpriated herein shall be utilized for
the construction of a cemetery maintenance facility, and for no other
purpose.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered pub-
lished this 16th day of October , A.D. 1979, and to be presented for
final passage on the 6th day of November A.D. 1979.
