BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS. Section 1. That Section 23 of Ordinance No. 11,;917, the same being General Section 223 of Article I of Chapter 20 of the Fort Collins Coda, be amended so as to read as follows: "Section 23. No meat, fish or other article of food or drink shall knowingly be bought, sold, held or offered for sale, la`MI or any representation made in respect thereto under a f:-lsa name or quality, or any false representation whatever respecting its wholesomeness for food or drink. No bread shall be offered for sale unless the same shall be wrapped with paraffins paper, and all bakerst goods in the stores or while being delivered M thin the corporate limits of the City, shall ba protected from dust and flies by being kept in tight boxes or in glass cases. It shall be unbwfal to sell or offer for sale any eggs which are KIM, moldy, black-rots, white-Wo, blood-rings, adherent yolks, or eggs with bloody or green whites, and it shall be unlavdal to sell and handle eggs for sale except and subject to the following regulations under the supervision of the Food Inspector, or ids deputies, and for the purpose of these regulations, eggs shall be classified as follows: (1) FRESH EGGS. Frosh eggs shell be considered and defined, for the purpose of this ordinance, as those that have not been laid longer than tan (10) days. (2) STORAGE EGGS. Storage eggs shall include all eggs that do not come within the class of fresh eggs as herein defined. All eggs sold within the corporate limits of the City of Fort Collins by huckst?rs, farmers, retail or wholesale merchants and others must be candled within one weak prior to sale, and a certificate to that effect must accompany each and story sale of eggs, in the following form I hereby certify that these eggs were candled by on the day of , and that they are fresh guaranteed to be strictly eggs and edible s t o rage Name Address Introduced, read and ordered published this day of A D 1922 Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council this 1"7- T dag of , A D 1922 Cormissioner of Safa and Er-Officio mayor ATTEST City Clerk STATE OF COLORADO ) SS.
