BEIIIG AN EMERGENCY APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE SUPPLEMENTING THE ANNUAL
APPROPRIATION MADE FOR WATERWORKS DEPARTMENT FOR THE HISCAL Y.CAR
ELIDING DECEIMM 31st, 1923
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS:
Section 1 That there be and hereby is appropriated out of the
revenues of the City of Fort Collins for the fiscal year beginning
January 1, 1923 and ending December 31, 1923, in addition to the annual
appropriation heretofore made for waterworks department for said fiscal
period, the sum of Twenty-two Hundred twenty and 81/100 ($2220 81)
Dollars, account of cost of Garfield Street extension main heretofore
constructed to supply water to the County Poor Farm and others settled
by suit which said sum is supplemental to the appropriation heretofore
made for waterworks department for said fiscal period, said sum being
payable out of the water revenues for the fiscal year ending December 31,
1923
Section 2 By reason of the fact that the appropriation for
waterworks department for the fiscal year ending December 31, 1923s is
insufficient to meet the demands and requirements of tas Public Works
Department of the city government, it is imperative that this supplemental
appropriation to provide for the needs of the Public Works Department for
the present fiscal year shall be made effective at once, and it is hereby
declared that an emergency exists for the preservation of the public
health, peace and safety, and therefore, pursuant to the authority contained
in Section 6 of Article IV of the City Charter, this ordinance shall take
effect and be in fall force upon its passage, adoption and publication in the
official newspaper under the provisions of Section 7 of Article IV of the
City Charter
Introduced, read and adopted by the vote of all the memebers
of the City Council this 6th day of January, A D 1923

Courier a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Collirs,
Colorado
