HomeMy WebLinkAbout008 - 03/31/1923 - AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 019, 1917, RELATING TO THE REGULATION AND OPERATION OF ALL KINDS OF VEHICLES ORDINANCE NO 8 1923 BEING AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO 19, 1917, RELATING TO THE REGULATION AND OPERATION OF ALL KINDS OF VEHICLES UPON THE STREETS AND ALLEYS 71ITIIIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF CURT COLLINS BY ADDING A SECTION THERETO TO BE KNOWN AS SECTION 10 OF SAID ORDINANCE BE IT ORDAINED BY TFE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS Section 1 That Ordinance No 19, 1917 relating to the regulation and operation of all kinds of vehicles upon the streets and alleys within the corporate limits of the City of Fort Collins be amended by the addition thereto of a section to be knoizi as Section 10 to read as follows "Section 10 All cars operated upon the Fort Collins Nhmicipal Railway shall have the right of way over all the streets while in operation, and it shall be unlawful for anyone to interfere in any manner with the operation of said street railway care or to use the parkings in the paving districts of the City of Fort Collins for traffic either by vehicles of any kind or pedestrians " Section 2 In the opinion of the City Council an emergency exists for the preservation of the public health, peace and safety and this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and publication, under and by virtue of the authority contained in Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter Introduced read at length and adopted by the unanimous vote of all the members of the City Council this 31st day of March, A D 1923 mmissioner of dafety dhd EXOfficio Mayor ATTEST City Clerk STATE OF COLORADO ) SS COUNTY OF LARIMER ) I, A J ROSENOW, City Clerk of the City of Fort Collins, do hereby certify and declare that the foregoing ordinance, consisting of two (2) sections was duly proposed and read at length at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 31st day of March, A D 1923, and was duly adopted and ordered published in the Fort Collins Courier, a daily newspaper and the official newspaper of the City of Fort Collins, by the unanimous vote of all the members of the City Council, as an emergency ordinance, in accordance with the arovisions of Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter, and thereafter, and on towit the day of , A D 1923, said Ordinance No 8 teas duly published in the Fort Collins Courier, a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Collins Colorado IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have her-unto set my hand and affixed the seal of said City, this day of ax!::sz , A D 1923 City Clerk
