HomeMy WebLinkAbout001 - 01/12/1924 - AMENDING SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE NO. 037, 1923, RELATING TO THE LICENSE AND INSPECTION FEES FOR THE E i ORDINANCE NO 1924s✓ BEING AIT MiMPOMMY ORDMANCE 9ENDIIIG SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE NO 37, 1923, RELATING TO TTIE LICENSE AND INgPECTION FEES FOR THE ERECTION AND MAINTENANCE OF BILL BOARDS wITHIIT TrM CORPORATE LIMTmS OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS, COLORADO BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF Tom' CITY OF FORT COLLINS Section 1 That Section2 of Ordinance No 37 1923 being an emergency ordinance relating to the license and inspection fees for the erection and maintenance of bill boards within the corporate limits of the City of Fort Collins, Colorado, be amended so as to read as follows "Section 2 Any person, firm or corporation desiring to erect and maintain bill boards as described in Section 1 of Ordinance No 37, 1923, o• who have already erected such bill boards and maintaining the same within the corporate limits of the City of Fort Collins, shall for the purpose of contirniing the maintenance of said bill boards apply to the City Council for a license therefor, which application shall state the number of bill boards so erected and maintained by the applicant, and the location thereof, and shall accompany said application by a fee of Fifty ($50 oo) Dollars, and upon the granting of said application for a license the Commissioner of Safety and ErOfficio Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to issue a license therefor which shall expire with the fiscal year, December thin*y-first, in each year All licensees under this ordinance, in addition to the license fee, shall upon the issiance of said license pay to the City Clerk in addition to the license fee the sum of Ten ($10 oo) Dollars as an inspection fee for the first bill board, and Five ($5 00) Dollars for each additional bill board so erected and maintained by the licensee wit'-in the corporate limits of the City of Fort Collins, iiiicn inspection fee shall cover all services of inspector for monthly inspection and examination of bill boards with respect to maintenance and cleanliness thereof which said inspection fee shall be paid annually at the same time of the renewal of the license fee " r Section 2 In the opinion of the City Council an emergency exists for the preservation of the public health, peace and safety, and this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and publication under and by virtue of the authority contained in Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter Introduced read at length and adopted by the unanimous vote of all the members of the City Council this 12th day of January, A D 1924 Conrelssioner of Safety and ZOOfficio LUyor ATTEST / ity Clerk STATE OF COLORAM ) ) SS COUNTY OF LAMER ) I A J ROSENOW, City Clerk of the City of Fort Collins, do hereby certify and declare that the foregoing ordinance, con- Alsting of tvw (d) sections, was duly proposed and read at length at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 12+h day of January, A D 1924, and vAs duly adopted and ordered published in the Fort Collins Express-Courier, a daily newspapei and the official newspaper of the City of Fort Collins, by the unanimous vote of all members of the City Council, as an emergency ordinance, in accordance with the provisions of Sections 6 and 7f Article IV of the City Charter and thereafter, on to-wit, the iy- day of January, A D 1924, said Ordinance No X _ was duly published in the Fort Collins Express-Cotrier, a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Collins, Colorado IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I ha�hereunto set � hand and affixed the seal of said city this /` day of J , D 192A City Clerk
