BEING AN ETIERGENCY ORDINANCE AJaJENDITIG SECTION 306 OF PART XXIK OF THE
BUILDIIIG CODE, ENTITLED "AWNINGS rr
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
Section 1 That Section 306 of Part XXIX of the Building
Code of the City of Fort Collins be and the same is hereby amended to
read as follows
"Section 306 Applications - Permits 1
Before any awning is erected, hung or repaired (minor
repairs excepted) so as to project overrany sidewalk in
this City, the person, firm or corporation responsible for
such work shall file with the Building Inspector an apDlication
for a permitt, describing the kind of awning proposed to be
erected, hung or repaired, the location of the same,, and the:
name of the owner of the premises, and such applmation
shall be countersigned by the person under whose supervision
the work is to be done, and such application shall be
accompanied by permit fee of $1 00 If found proper and
conforming to the rules and regulations and ordinances a 4
permit shall be issued by the Building Inspector No such a
work shall be done unless by or under the supervision and/ & �di° ``
responsibility of a duly licensed person as provided in/the
following section Provided, horiever, that awnings which
are or may hereafter be erec'ed and in place may be re-covered
by the owner or owners thereof upon application being made
and permit secured as above provided, and such work of
re-covering need not be done under the supervision of or
by a licensed person
Section 2 All ordirances or parts of ordinances in conflict
with this ordinance are hereby repealed
Section 3 In the opinion of the City Council an emergency
exists for the preservation of the public health, peace and safety,
and this orainance shall take effect upon its passage (and publication)
under and by virtue of the authority contained in Sections 6 and 7 of
Article IV of the City Charter

do hereby certify and declare that the foregoing ordinance, consisting
of three (3) sections was duly proposed and read at length at a
regalar me eting of the City Co ncil held on the 21st day of May,
A D 1927, and was duly adopted and ordered published in the Fort
Collins Express-Courier, a daily newspaper and the official newspaper
of the City of Fort Collins , by the unanimous vote of all members of
the Council, as an emergency ordiname, in accordance with the
provisions of Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter,
and thereafter on to-wit the �4 �� day of May, A D 1927, said
Ordinance No `D was published in the Fort Collins Express-
Courier, a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Collins,
Colorado
