BEING AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 89 19359
REIATING TO THE FIXING OF A SCHEDULE OF RATES TO BE CHARGED BY
THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS, INCLUDING RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR
ALL ELECTRIC SERVICE WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY
OF FORT COLLINS AND UPON THE FRINGE LINES OUTSIDE OF THE CITY
OF FORT COLLINS CONNECTED WITH THE DISTRIBUTING SYSTEM OWNED
BY THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF
SECTION 4 OF ARTICLE XVIII OF THE CITY CHARTER, BY ADDING TO
SECTION 2 THEREOF SCHEDULE NUMBERED 14.
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins is the owner
and operator of a Municipal Electric Light and Power System
and has heretofore adopted a schedule of rates and rules and
regulations as contained in Ordinance No. 8, 1935 and Ordinance
No, 21 1937 , and
WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Works and Public
Utilities has recommended that one additional schedule of
rates be adopted by the City of Fort Collins, and the City
Council is of the opinion that said schedule isafair and
reasonable rate.
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
Section 1, The City Council finds and determines
that the proposed rate to be charged and collected by the City
of Fort Collins, as set forth in Schedule 14 hereinafter set
forth, is a reasonable rate to be charged by the said City of
Fort Collins and is a lawful rate for the said City of Fort
Collins to charge and collect from consumers, both within and
without the corporate limits of the City of Fort Collins upon
its distribution system, for light, heat and power furnished
to the consumers connected to said Municipal Light and Power
System, insofar as the said schedule applies to said consumers,

and that Section 2 of Ordinance No, 8, 1935 should be amended
by adding thereto said additional schedule of rate.
Section 2 That Section 2 of Ordinance No. 8,
1935 and Ordinance No. 2, 1937, be and the same are hereby
amended by adding thereto Schedule numbered 14, the same to
follow Schedule No. 13 of said Ordinance, and which is as
follows , to-wit

COMMERCIAL ELECTRICAL COOKING
AVAILABILITY
Availagle for clubs, lodges, hotels, restaurants, churches,
school cafeterias and home economics laboratories.
RATE (Net)
First 2500 KW used per month, per KWH .02
All additional KW used per month, per KWH .015
MINIMOM
Net minimum charge per meter, per month $2.00
DELAYED PAYMENT CHARGE
To all bills not paid within ten days from date of
bill, there will be added five per cent of the net
bill.
SPECIAL RULES AND REGULATIONS
The customer agrees to install and use only equipment
of approved manufacturers and this rate shall apply to the
kitchens , ventilators and appurtenant mixing appliances used
in preparation of foods.
Section 3 In the opinion of the City Council an
emergency exists for the preservation of the public health, peace
and safety, and this Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage ,
under and by virtue of the authority contained in Sections 6 and
7 of Article IV of the City Charter.
Introduced, read at length and adopted by the unan-
imous vote of all members of the City Council, at a regular
adjourned meeting held this 23rd day of May, A D. 1938.

City of Fort Collins , do hereby certify and declare that the
foregoing Ordinance, consisting of three (3) sections, was duly
proposed and read at length at a regular adjourned meeting of
the City Council, held on the 23rd day of May, A D. 1938 and
was duly adopted and ordered published in the Mountain and
Plains Weekly, a weekly newspaper and an official newspaper
of the City of Fort Collins , by the unanimous vote of all
members of the City Council as an emergency ordinance, in
accordance with the provisions of Sections 6 and 7 of Article
IV of the City Charter, and thereafter and on to-wit the
27th day of May , A D. 1938, said Ordinance No. 5
was duly published in the Mountain and Plains Weekly, a
weekly newspaper published in the City of Fort Collins ,
Colorado,
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set
my hand and affixed the seal of said City, this 27th day of
May, A D 1938.
