BEING AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE No. 30, 19249
AND AMENDMENTS THERETO RELATING TO THE BUILDING CODE OF THE
CITY OF FORT COLLINS, PROVIDING RULES AND REGULATIONS THERE-
UNDER, PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF AND REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
Section 1, That Section 3 of Ordinance No.
309 1924 be and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto
Section 3 (a) as follows
"Section 3 (a) . Before any new building or
structure shall be erected upon any lot or premise within
the corporate limits of the City of Fort Collins , the owner
of said lot or premise shall cause the same to be surveyed
by the City Engineer and the corners thereof located and
staked, and in the event it is proposed to erect a building
or structure on a portion or part of one or several lots,
then after said survey the City Engineer shall make a
record thereof in his office, showing the variation thereof
from the original plat of the Block in which said premises
are situate "
Section 2, That Section 8 of Ordinance No. 30,
1924 as amended by Ordinance No, 9, 1937 and Ordinance No.
161, 1937, be and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto
sub-paragraph (f) as follows
"(f) For each lot survey to be made by the
City Engineer $7.50. "
Section 3 All ordinances and parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.

Section 4. In the opinion of the City Council
an emergency exists for the preservation of the public
health, peace and safety, and this Ordinance shall take
effect upon its passage under and by virtue of the authority
contained in Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City
Charter.
Introduced, read at length and adopted by the
unanimous vote of all members of the City Council at a
regular meeting, held this 16th day of December, A D. 1938,

I, MILES F HOUSE, City Clerk of the City
of Fort Collins, do hereby certify and declare that the foregoing
Ordinance, consisting of four (4) Sections, was duly proposed
and read at length at a regular meeting of the City Council,
held on the 16th day of December, A D 1938, and was duly
adopted and ordered published in the Fort Collins Express-Cour-
ier, a daily newspaper and the official newspaper of the City
of Fort Collins, by the unanimous vote of all members of the Coun-
cil , as an emergency ordinance, in accordance with the provisions
of Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter, and
thereafter, and on to-wit the 20th day of December, 1938, said
ordinance No 11 was duly published in the Fort Collins Express-
Courier, a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Collins,
Colorado
