HomeMy WebLinkAbout002 - 04/24/1931 - AMENDING SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE NO. 013, 1927, WHICH AMENDED SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE NO. 010, 1905, R PEOPLEtS ORDINANCE NO 2 BEING AN INITIATED ORDINANCE, AIENDING SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE NO 13 OF 1927, WHICH ORDINANCE AMENDED SECTION 2 OF ORDINAICE NO 10 OF 19055' BEING AN ORDINANCE IN RELATION TO THE OBSERVANCE OF SUNDAY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS, COLORADO Section 1 That Section 2 of Ordinance Pto. 13 of 1927 being an ordinance amending Section 2 of Ordinance No 10 of 1905, being an ordinance in relation to the observance of Sunday be, and the same is hereby amended to read as follows "Section 2 It shall be unlawful for any person or per- sons, on said day, Sunday, to keep open any public billiard hall, pool room, bowling alley, or other public place of recreation or amuse- ment, excepting museums, art exhibitions, libraries, swimming pools, tennis courts, golf and croquet grounds and similar places of recre- ation, concerts and similar rusical entertainments, and excepting further theaters and motion picture shows, which shall be permitted between the hours of 1 00 P. M and 11 30 P M It STATE OF COLORADO ) ) SS COUNTY OF LARIMER ) I, A J ROSENOW, City Clerk of the City of Fort Collins, do hereby certify and declare that the foregoing ordinance was initiated and regularly submitted to a vote of the qualified electors of the City of Fort Collins at a special election held April 21, A D 1931, and that there were 1884 votes cast in favor of the adoption of the aforesaid ordinance and 1547 votes cast against the adoption of the aforesaid ordinance, and said ordinance was by resolution of the City Council found to have been regularly adopted at said election and has become an ordinance of the City of Fort Collins, which ordinance is known as Peoplets Ordinance No 2 IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set ry hand and affixed the seal of said City, this 24th day of April, A D 1931 2 1 City Clerk
