BEING AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AMENDING THE LAST PARAGRAPH OF
SECTION 22 OF ORDINANCE NO 8, 1927, RELATING TO THE USE OF WATER
FROM CITY 'VATER WORKS AND REGULATING THE USE THEREOF AND FIXING
TIM SCHEDULE OF CHARGES TPEREFOR
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
Section 1. That the last paragraph of Section 22
of Ordinance No. 81 1927, relating to the use of water from the
city water works and regulating the use thereof and fixing the
schedule of charges therefor, be and the same is hereby amended
so as to read as follows
"If any meter shall fail to correctly register
in any one period, the consumer shall be charged for the average
consumption during two three month periods, covering the same
calendar months of the preceding two years, provided, however,
if water was taken by said consumer for only one year preceding,
then the three month period covering the same calendar months
of the one preceding year shall be the basis of charge, and if
no water was taken by said consumer during the sane three months
period of a preceding yeas , then said charge shall be fixed and
determined by the City Council "
Section 2. The last paragraph of Section 22
of Ordinance No. 8, 1927 and all ordinances and parts of
ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3. In the opinion of the City Council
an emergency exists for the preservation of the public health,
peace and safety, and this ordinance shall take effect upon its

passage and publication, under and by virtue of the authority
contained in Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City
Charter
Introduced, read at length and adopted by
the unanimous vote of all members of the City Council at a
regular meeting held this 31st day of July, A D 1931.

of Fort Collins, do hereby certify and declare that the fore-
going ordinance, consisting of three (3) sections, was duly
proposed and read at length at a regular meeting of the City
Council held on the 31st day of July, A D 1931, and was duly
adopted and ordered published in the Fort Collins Express-
Courier, a daily newspaper and the official newspaper of the
City of Fort Collins, by the unanimous vote of all members of
the City Council, as an emergency ordinance, in accordance with
the provisions of Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City
Charter, and thereafter, on to-wit the 4th day of August ,
A D 1931, said Ordinance No. 3 was duly published in the
Fort Collins Express-Courier, a daily newspaper published in the
City of Fort Collins, Colorado
