OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
RESCINDING THE DESIGNATION OF THE HENRY JESSUP/CAL JOHNS
FARM BUILDINGS, 2902 RIGDEN PARKWAY, FORT COLLINS, COLO DO,
AS A HISTORIC LANDMARK PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 14 OF E
CODE OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
WHEREAS,by Ordinance No. 141,2000,the City Council designa d the Henry Jessup/Cal
Johnson Farm Buildings at 2902 Rigden Parkway in the City as a hist is landmark pursuant to
Chapter 14 of the City Code; and
WHEREAS,the City has received an application dated Ma 12,2010,from the Rigden Farm
Master Owners Association requesting that the designation of t Henry Jessup/Cal Johnson Farm
Buildings as a historic landmark be rescinded; and
WHEREAS, Section 14-31 of the City Code provides that a landmark designation may be
rescinded in the same manner as the original designati was made; and
WHEREAS,in accordance with Section 14- 1 of the City Code,the Landmark Preservation
Commission considered the application of the R' den Farm Master Association at its meeting on
May 12, 2010 and recommended to the City ouncil that the Henry Jessup/Cal Johnson Farm
Buildings historic designation not be rescind d; and
WHEREAS, notwithstanding e recommendation of the Landmark Preservation
Commission, the City Council has det ined that there were sufficient flaws and defects in the
designation process for the Henry Je up/Cal Johnson Farm Buildings that the designation should
be rescinded.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the designaf n of the Henry Jessup/Cal Johnson Farm Buildings pursuant to
Ordinance No. 141, 2000, ' hereby rescinded and that the City Manager is directed to record with
the Larimer County Cler and Recorded this ordinance rescinding said designation.
