HomeMy WebLinkAbout013 - 07/10/1936 - REZONING BLOCK FOUR, WESTLAWN ADDITION TO ''B'' RESIDENCE DISTRICT (EMERGENCY ORDINANCE) 1 ORDINANCE NO 13 , 1936, BEING AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO 102 1929, BEING AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE TO REGULATE AND RESTRICT THE LOCATIONS OF BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES, AND THE USE OF BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES, AND TO DIVIDE THE CITY INTO CERTAIN DISTRICTS COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, AND CHANGING BLOCK FOUR, WESTLAWN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS TO nBn RESIDENCE DISTRICT BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS That Ordinance No 10 of the Series of 1929, being an emergency ordinance to regulate and restrict the locations of buildings and structures and the use of buildings and structures and land, the height and size of buildings and other structures, the area and dimensions of open space in building lots, the density of population, and for said purposes to divide the City into districts, and the zoning map adopted in connection therewith, be and the same is hereby amended by adding to Section II, Subdivision (a) , entitled Zoning District Regulations, the following, to-wit Section 1 The zoning district map heretofore adopted and declared to be a part of this Ordinance, shall be changed and amended and is hereby changed and amended so that Block four (4) of Westlawn Addition to the City of Fort Collins, Colorado, shall be taken from "Afl residence district and put into and made a part of "B" residence district, and that the City Engineer amend the original zoning district map to comply with this Ordinance Section 2 All ordinancesand parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed Section 3 In the opinion of the City Council an emergency exists for the preservation of the public health, peace and safety, and this Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and publication under and by virtue of the authority contained in Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter Introduced, read at length and adopted by the unanimous vote of all the members of the City Council at a regular meeting held this loth day of July, A D 1936 Mayor ATTEST City Cler STATE OF COLORADO ) ss County of Larimer ) I, J D McINTYRE, City Clerk of the City of Fort Collins, do hereby certify and declare that the foregoing Ordinance, consisting of three (3) sections, was duly proposed and read at length at a regular meeting of the City Council, held on the loth day of July, A D 1936, and was duly adopted and ordered published in the Fort Collins Express-Courier, a daily newspaper and the official newspaper of the City of Fort Collins, by the unanimous vote of all members of the City Council as an emergency ordinance, in accordance with the provisions of Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter, and thereafter and on to-wit the 1 th day of July, A D 1936, said Ordinance No 13 was duly published in The Fort Collins Express-Courier, a daily newspaper published in the City of Forty Collins, Colorado IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of said City, this 14th day of July, A D 1936 City Clerk
