ORDINANCE NO 6, 1963,
BEING AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTICNS 4-12, 4-16, and
4-20 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS, COLORADO, 1958, AS AMENDED, AND RELATING
TO THE LICENSING AND REGUTATION OF CONTRACTORS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
Section 1 That Section 4-12 of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Fort Collins, Colorado, 1958, as amended, be and the same hereby is amended
by deleting from subsection (a) thereof the period at the end of the sentence
and adding thereto the following
"except Elevator Contractors "
Section 2 That Section 4-16 of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Fort Collins, Colorado, 1958, as amended, be and the same hereby is amended
by adding thereto the following subsection
"(e) Elevator Contractor's License This license shall entitle
the holder thereof o contractfor abor or for labor and materi-
als involving the installation and alterations of elevators,
escalators, moving sidewalks and moving ramps, dumb-waiters,
stage lifts, man-lifts and plungers, which employ ropes, cables,
pulleys or platforms In addition to the elevator work on the
equipment itself, this license shall include electrical work
from the controller to, and including wiring of, the equipment
Prior to issuance of said license, applicant shall show proof
of valid Master Electrician's License, issued by the State of
Colorado, and application shall be accompanied by a good and
sufficient bond in the penal sum of ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS
($1,000 00), with a surety company as surety, conditioned
that all elevator work installed and altered by said person,
firm or corporation or his or its employees, shall be in
accordance with the American Standard Safety Code for
Elevators as well as the "National Electric Code", as
adopted in Section 4-98 The annual license fee shall be
One Hundred Dollars ($100 00) "
Section 3 That Section 4-20 of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Fort Collins, Colorado, 1958, as amended, be and the same hereby is amended
by deleting from the final paragraph thereof the following
"only to contractors obtaining a general contractor's license
(unlimited), or a limited contractor's license and shall not
apply to contractors obtaining a special contractor's license
or a job contractor's license "
and by substituting therefore the following
"to all contractors as defined in Section 4-16 of this Code
except Jobbing Contractors "
