HomeMy WebLinkAbout011 - 11/23/1951 - REZONING THE SOUTH HALF (S1/2) OF BLOCK 178, MAIN ADDITION TO ''B'' RESIDENCE DISTRICT (EMERGENCY OR ORDINANCE NO. 11 1951 BEING AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AMENDING OM AIN" JO. 10, 1929s AS AMENDED, BEING AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE TO REGULATE.Q]D RESTRICT THE LOCATION OF BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES, Alp TO DIVIDE THE CITY INTO CERTAIN DISTRICTS, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, AND CHANGING THE SOUTH HALF (S-) OF BLOCK^178, MAIN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS, COLORADO, TO_"B" RESIDENCE DISTRICT. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS: That Ordinance No 10 of the Series of 1929, as amended, being an emergency ordinance to regulate and restrict the locations of buildings and structures and the use of buildings and structures and land, the height and size of buildings and other structures; the area and dimensions of open space in building lots, the density of population, and for said purpose to divide the City into districts, and the zoning map adopted in connection therewith, be and the same is hereby amended by adding to Section II, en- titled "Zoning District Regulations," the following, to-wit Section 1. The zoning district map heretofore adopted and declared to be a part of this Ordinance shall be changed and amended and is hereby changed and amended so that the South0H#&f*( f of Block 178, Main Addition to the City of Fort Collins, Colorado, shall be taken from "A" residence district and put into and made a part of "B" residence district. Section 2. That the City Engineer shall forthwith amend the original zoning district map in compliance with the amendments and changes herein established. Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed, Section 4, In the opinion of the City Council an emergency exists for the preservation of the public health, peace and safety, and this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and publication under and by virtue of the authority contained in Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter Introduced, read at length and adopted by the unanimous vote of all the members of the City Council at a regular meeting held this 23rd day of November., A. D. 1951, and was duly adopted and ordered published in the Fort Collins, Coloradoan, a daily newspaper and the official newspaper of the City of Fort Collins, by the unanimous vote of all members of the City Council as an emergency ordinance, in accordance with the provisions of Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter, and thereafter and on, to-wit the 27th day of NAVA,nhAr , A. D 1951, said Ordinance No 11 was duly published in the Fort Collins Coloradoan, a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Collins, Colorado.
