HomeMy WebLinkAbout015 - 11/03/1950 - RELATING TO THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 1951, AND ENDING DECE ORDINANCE NO 15, 1950 BEING 11THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE u AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JANIIARY 19 19519 AND ENDING DECDOER 31, 1951, AND FIXING THE MILL LEVIES FOR SAID FISCAL YEAR BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS• Section 1. That there be and is hereby appropriated out of the revenues of the City of Fort Collins for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 19519 and ending December 31, 1951, the sum of Your Hundred Thirty-Four Thousand Forty-Two and Fourteen Hundredths Dollars ($434042.14) , to be raised by taxation and otherwise, which said sum is hereby divided and appropriated for the following purposes, to»wit• DISBURSEMENTS BY APPROPRIATIONS Building Inspection $6,o95 oo Engineering General Government 51000 00 Fire Department 51,378 00 Forestry Department 750 00 General Government 17,750 00 Grandview Cemetery 22•355 00 Group Insurance 300.00 Liability Insurance 2,100 00 Library 189980 00 Lights 19,500 00 Parking Meters 4,090.00 Parks - City 13,438 88 Parks •- Other than City Park 7,050 00 Pioneer Museum 1,700 00 Police Department 569579 00 Public Grounds and Buildings 8 000 00 Public Health 5,000.00 Recreation 2,000 00 Streets and Alleys 75,000.00 Contingency Account 2,000 00 $319 o65 88 Preliminary Local Improvement 10,000 00 Local Improvement Districts - City Share 1,551 26 Refunding Water Bonds - Series of 1950 41,250 00 General Obligation Sewage Disposal Bonds 12,951 25 Sewer & Water Revenue Bonds 10018 75 Refunding Conduit Bond - Sinking Fund 6,455 00 Refunding Bonds of 1949 - Sinking Fund 3,385 00 Electric Light & Power Revenue Bonds-Series of 1948 29,365 00 GRAND TOTAL $434,042 14 Section 2 That for the purpose of providing necessary funds for meeting the appropriations set forth in Section 1 of this Ordinance, the following levies be and are hereby made upon each dollar of the assessed valuation of all taxable property within the corporate limits of the City of Fort Collins, the same being the amount necessary, together with estimated miscellaneous receipts, to provide for the payment of the foregoing appropriations and to meet the payment during the fiscal year ending December 31, 1951, of all properly authorized demands upon the City Treasurer to-wit• Refunding Conduit Bonds Sinking Fund .644 mills Refunding Bonds of 1949 Sinking Fund 337 mills Local Improvement Districts City Share 155 mills General Expense 13 864 mills 15 000 mills being a total of 15 00 mills, which levies shall be certified to the County Assessor and to the Board of County Commissioners of Larimer County Colorado, by the Commissioner of Safety and Ex-Officio Mayor and the City Clerk, as provided by law. Section 3 In the opinion of the City Council an emergency exists for the preservation of the public health, peace and safety, and this Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage under and by virtue of the authority contained in Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter Introduced, read at length, and adopted by the unanimous vote of all members of the City Council at a regular meeting held this 3rd day of November, A D 1950. .62a6ez ZZ) 60missioner of Safety d Ex- Officio Mayor Attest City Clerk STATE OF COLORADO ) es COUNTY OF LARIMER ) I MILES F HOUSE, City Clerk of the City of Fort Collins, do hereby certify and declare that the foregoing Ordinance, consisting of three (3) sections, was duly proposed and read at length at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 3rd day of November, A D 1950, and was duly adopted and ordered published in the Fort Collins Coloradoan, a daily newspaper and the official newspaper of the City of Fort Collins, by the unanimous vote of all members of the Council as an emergency ordinance, in accordance with the provisions of Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter and thereafter and on, 0-wit the 7th day of November 1950 was duly published in the Fort Collins Coloradoan, a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Collins.
