HomeMy WebLinkAbout028 - 11/08/1929 - AMENDING SECTION 9 OF PART I ENTITLED GENERAL PROVISIONS OF THE BUILDING CODE (EMERGENCY ORDINANCE) a � ORDINANCE NO. 28 , 1929s BEING AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AIENDING SETGTIM 9 OF PART I ENTITLED "GENERAL PROVISIONS" OF THE BUILDING CODE OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS, COLORADO, AND REPEALING CERTAIN PROVISIONS THEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT CQLLINS: Section 1. That Section 9 of Part I entitled "General Provisions" of the Building Code of the City of Fort Collins, be and the same is hereby amende(d to read as follows: Fire Limits. "Section 9./ All these portions of the City of Fort Collins bounded as follows shall be known and designated as the Fire District, to-wit Beginning at the intersection of Howes Street and Cherry Street , thence South along Howes Street to Olive Street, thence East along Olive Street to Mason Street , thence South along Mason Street to Magnolia Street, thence East along Magnolia Street to Remington Street , thence North along Remington Street to Olive Street , thence East along Olive Street to Mathews Street, thence North along Mathews Street to Oak Street, thence East along Oak Street to Peterson Street, thence North on Peterson Street to the intersection of Peterson Street !a k N1,Fi�h with East Mountain Avenue, thence N S along Li -n Avenue to the intersection of Avenue and Jefferson Street, thence Northwest along Jefferson Street to the intersection of Jefferson Street and College Avenue , thence North along College Avenue to the intersection of College Avenue and Cherry Street , thence West on Cherry Street to the place of beginning, all as shown by the official map of the City of r Fort Collins on file in the office of the F_ uea 3 ." Section 2. That the paragraph entitled "SECONDARY FIRE DISTRICT" which is included in Section 9 of Part I entitled "General Provisions" be and the same is hereby repealed. .1- r Section 3. In the opinion of the City Council an emergency exists for the preservation of the public health, peace and safety, and this ordinance shall take effect upon its pasagge and publication, under and by virtue of the authority contained in Sections 6 and 7 of Article IQ of the City Charter. D. 1929, and was duly adopted and ordered published in the Fort Collins Express- Courier, a daily newspaper and the official newspaper of the City of Fort Collins, by the unanimous vote of all members of the Council, as an emergency ordinance , in accordance with the p rovisinns of Sections 6 and 7 of Article I9 of the City Charter, and thereafter and on to-wit the 12th day of November, 1929, said Ordinance No. 28 was duly publ O—ed-n the Fort Collins Express-Courier, a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Collins, Colorado.
