BEING AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO 7 , 1921,
THE SAME BEING AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE RELATING TO LOCAL PUBLIC
IMPROVE11ENTS , ETC ADOPTED AND APPROVED ON THE 2ND DAY OF APRIL,
A D 19219 BY ADDING THERETO CERTAIN SECTIONS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
Section 1 That there is hereby added to said
Ordinance No. 7 , 1921 , the following Sections
"Section 36 That included in the improvements
of streets and alleys that may be authorized by ordinance by the
Gity Council , is the surfacing of the same with a mixture of oil
and gravel or other suitable material , or sanding or gravelling
the same , or covering the same with a suitable surface of any
other road surfacing material
Section 37 The Gity of Fort Collins is
hereby authorized ana empowered to accept from any Federal
Agency or other public or private source , grants for or in aid
of the construction of any local public improvements , and any
such aid may be used to carry on the work of constructing said
public improvements or defraying the costs thereof , so that
the cost to be assessed against the property specially bene-
fited, or the amount to be paid for by the City at large , if
any, may be reduced thereby "
Section 2 In the opinion of the City Council
an emergency exists for the preservation of the public health,
peace and safety and this Ordinance shall take effect upon its
passage under and by virtue of the authority contained in
Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter

Introduced, read at length and adopted by
the unanimous vote of all members of the City Council , at a
adjourned
regular/meeting of the City Council, held the 26th day of
November, A D 1935

the aforesaid Ordinance , consisting of two (2) sections,
adjourned
was duly proposed and read at length at a regular meeting
of the City Council, held on the 26th day of November, A D
1935, and was duly adopted and ordered published in the
Fort Collins Express-Courier, a daily newspaper and the
official newspaper of the City of Fort Collins , by the
unanimous vote of all members of the City Council, as an
Emergency Ordinance , in accordance with the provisions of
Sections 6 ana 7 of Article IV of the City Charter, and
thereafter and on to-wit the 27th day of November ,
A D 1935 , said Ordinance No . 15 was duly published in
the Fort Collins Express-Courier, a daily newspaper published
in the City of Fort Collins , Colorado
