BEING AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NOo A'b,
1924, As AMENDED, AND ORDINANCE NQ 99 1937, AS AMENDED,
RELATING TO THE BUILDING CODE FOR THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS P40VIDING MES AND REGULATIONS THEREUNDER,
PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF, AND REPU1ING ALL
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HMM41TN
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS:
Section 1 That part of Ordinance No 30, 1924, as amended by Section
158a of Ordinance No 9, 1937, be and the same is hereby amended by adding
thereto the following, to-wit
"Section 158a - Applications » Permits a .In case of any violation
of this regulation any person, firm or corporation proceeding
with any work requiring a permit before such permit is issued, the Building
Inspector shall report such violation to the City Council which mays upon due
notice suspend the license of the licensee for 30 days in the case of a first
violation, and 90 days in case of a second violation, and may revoke the license
of said licensee upon a third violation "
Section 2 That part of Ordinance No 30, 1924, as amended by Section
177A, Ordinance No 9, 1937, be and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto
the following, to-wit
"Section 177A - Application for Permit In case of any violation
of this regulation by any electrical contractor proceeding with any electrical
construction work for which a permit is required before the granting of such
permit, the Building Inspector shall report such violation to the City Council
which may, upon due notice, suspend the license of such electrical contractor
for 30ndays in the case of a first violation, and 90 days in case of a second
violation, and may revoke the license of such electrical contractor upon a third
violation "
Section 3 That part of Ordinance No 30, 1924, as amended by Section
207 of Ordinance No 9, 1937, be and the same is hereby amended by adding
thereto the following, to wits
"Section 207 - Applications and Permits In case of any violation
of this regulation by any duly licensed masterpplumber proceeding with any
plumbing work for which a permit is required before the granting of such permit,
the Building Inspector shall report such violation to the City Council which
may, upon due notice, suspend the license of such master plumber for 30 days in
the case of a first violation, and 90 days in case of a second violation, and
may revoke the license of such master plumber upon a third violation n
Section k Repeal of Conflicting Ordinances
All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances conflicting with the provisions of
this Ordinance are hereby repealed
Section 5 In the opinion of the City Council an emergency exists for
the preservation of the public health, peace and safety, and this ordinance shall
take effect upon its passage, under and by virtue of the authority contained in
Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter
Introduced, read at length and adopted by the unanimous vote of all
members of the City Council, at a regular meeting held this 27th day of March,
1953

certify and declare that the aforesaid Ordinance, consisting of five sections,
was duly proposed and read at length at a regular meeting of the City Council,
held on the 27th day of March, A. D 1953, and was duly adopted and ordered
published in the Fort Collins, Coloradoan, a daily newspaper and official news-
paper of the City of Fort Collins, by the unanimous vote of all members of the
City Council, as an Emergency Ordinance, in accordance with the provisions of
Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter, and thereafter and on, to-wits
the 31st day of March , A D 1953, said Ordinance No 3 was
duly published in the Fort Collins, Coloradoan, a daily newspaper published in
the City of Fort Collins, Colorado
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal
