HomeMy WebLinkAbout014 - 08/02/1929 - AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF 5% REGISTERED WARRANTS IN THE AMOUNT OF $3000 FOR TRAFFIC SIGNS (EMERGEN F � ORDINANCE NO �� 19?9 BEING AN EMERGENCY ORDI1`TANCE AUTuOPIZi77& T` ISSUANCE OF FIVE PER CENT REGISTDRED WARRA14TS IN THE AMOUNT OF $3000 oo ACCOUNT OF TRAFFIC SIGNS WHEREAS, Since the adopticn of the annual appropriation ordinance for the fiscal year ending December 31st 1929, an emergency and unforeseen contingency has arisen whereby it has become and is necessary to pay Three thousand ($3,000 oo ) Dollars on account of Traffic Signs and the public necessity requires an additional appropriation of public funds therefor therefore BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLTITJS Section 1 That there be and hereby is appropriated out of the general revenues of the City of Fort Collins for the years 1930, 1931 1932 and 1933 unless taken up brior thereto the sum of Three thousand ($3 000 oo ) Dollars to be used on account of Traffic Signs and which said sum, when this ordinance takes effect, shall be credited on the books of the City Clerk and the City Treasurer to Traffic Signs and registered five (5%) per cent warrants of the City shall be issued to cover said amount Section 2 In the opinion of the Citv Council an emergency exists for the preservation of the public health peace and safety, and this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and publication under and by virtue of the authority contained in Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter -1- Introduced, read at length and adopted by the unanimous vote of all members of the City Council at a regular meeting of the City Council held this 2nd day ofAugust,A D 1929 "41 ) , Comm ssioner o Saf and Ex-Ofl cio Mayor L i 41erk STATE OF COLOIZADO ) SS COUNTY OF LARIMER ) I , A J RO SENOW City Clerk of the City of Fort Collins , do hereby certify and declare that the foregoing ordinance consist- ing of two (2) sections was duly proposed and read at length at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 2nd day of August, A D 1929 and was duly adopted and ordered published in the Fort Collins express-Courier, a daily newspaper and the official newspaper of the City of Fort Collins by the unan-mous vote of all members of the City Council, as an emergency ordinance , in accordance with the provisions of Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter and thereafter and on to-wit the 6th day afAugust,A D 1929 Baia Ordinance No 14 was duly pu_71`1`57ed in the Fort Collins Express-Courier a dai y newspaper published in the City of Fort Collins Colorado IN WITNESS NHDREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of said City this 6th day ofAu st,A D 1929 er -2-
